  1. I stand corrected Cheryl... feeling satisfied is what I should have said. Thanks for catching me!
  2. Good luck.. some of the gas just has to re-absorb and will not come out either end. Take it easy the rest of the day and follow your post-op directions! Call the doctor's office when in doubt. We have experience, but no MDs! At least I do not!
  3. Eating fast is a killer. And... Talk or eat, we can no longer do both at the same time. My mama always told me to chew with my mouth shut anyhow... guess I should have listened better! LOL
  4. Congrats on beginning your life with the band. Now for gosh sakes, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, follow you doctor's orders!
  5. TRY to follow your doctor's orders.
  6. We all learn from successful people. Sure, I have been less than gushy in some of my responses, but I am human and I get frustrated too. Let's all agree to try not to take it out on someone else. Those with genuine questions, ask on. BUT those who want to get permission to ignore doctors' advice and the program they signed up for,... Please don't waste your time asking questions YOU KNOW the answer to. Just because you don't want to do it does not make it right or good for you! Those who advise I value are the successful ones, like Floridays. Look for ways to make the journey more fun, because no one ever said it would be easy!
  7. Whoa there! You ARE losing. Give it time! You are just two weeks out. Measure your food and eat until you are full.
  8. Looking great! Keep up the good work!
  9. You could also try Almond milk. The unsweetened is low in calories and Carbs
  10. A lot of us have been where you are now. This group is very supportive, honest and caring. We will be your friends every step of the way. Do something for you for a change!
  11. Hot tea, SF apple cider, sf Popsicle, chicken or beef broth.
  12. I think you may be overfilled. Never eat for an hour, the stomach dumps out every 20-25 minutes and you can seriously overeat. If it is taking that long to get down your usual portion it is time for an unfill.
  13. But you are down! It is about healthy weight, not dress size!
  14. I seriously know of no one who died on the post-op diet. We have all been there. Surgery and recovery is emotional. What did you expect?
  15. Great! Made me laugh out loud!
  16. Oh... I just remembered... Unjury makes a protein enriched cheese sauce you mix with warm water!
  17. And try windmilling your arms as you walk!
  18. I have never heard of anyone being rejected for depression. I have been on anti-depressants for YEARS, and it never came up. Missy... I LOVED your response
  19. OMG, Thanksgiving. Can you imagine the posts that afternoon? Let's meet in BB's and enjoy the day!
  20. Also.. watch for what I call the pre-cursers to being full. Hiccups Runny nose (Seriously) Coughing Chest pressure!
  21. You can do it! Hang on and don't blow it now!
  22. Don't eat too much! LOL! Sorry couldn't resist! Nice offer Steve!
  23. I believe it works and am afraid to stop to see! LOL
  24. Not a big fan of broccoli, but it could be that your system is sending diff message now. Try something a bit less onerous than broccoli and stay out of the kitchen if possible while they are cooking. I'll bet you taste will come back!
