  1. You're lucky! Though mine doesn't really grow fast, it is coarse. My hubby prefers it to be completely bare. So do I, actually. I prefer me bare, and I prefer men bare. I never thought I would, but the first time I was with a man who was trimmed nicely, I LOVED it. Then I was with one who didn't trim and it was like a brillo pad. Men look sooooooo much better without hair. It also makes it look TONS bigger. And yes, a brazilian wax is TOTALLY bare, front and taint. I have brazilian waxed DH many times, but I don't have the cahones to have him wax me. I'd have a professional do it, but I can't see having one do it until I'm at least 100lbs lighter than I am now.
  2. congrats Mindy!!!!! how very exciting!
  3. losingjusme, you really do look fantastic! I agree with you about the NSV, my hubby has a PT Cruiser and the seatbelt in that thing is short, short, short. At my heaviest I barely got it buckled in the driver's seat (the passenger seat is a little longer), I had to exhale and really tug/push to snap it. Now I have enough slack to lean forward and turn to look out all sides of the car!
  4. He was at the hospital I am at for his pediatric surgery fellowship. Good surgeon.
  5. Thank you for responding. As I said, I now totally understand your frustration...:doh::frusty:
  6. I haven't tried my jeans on since banding, I guess I had better go get them out
  7. What is wrong with some people? 2 Moms Charged In Role In Impregnated Girl Relationship POSTED: 1:56 pm EDT June 28, 2007 UPDATED: 5:52 pm EDT June 28, 2007 ECORSE, Mich. -- A 19-year-old has been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct after having a relationship with an 11-year-old girl, police said. Blake Blythe of Ecorse is accused of having a relationship with the girl and getting her pregnant last summer. "Not guilty by reason of insanity. He will be sent to forensics center in Ypsilanti," Richard Glanda, Blythe's attorney said. Blythe's mother and the girl's mother are also charged because they knew about the relationship. Police said both mothers consented to the two having sex. Both women have been charged and convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and received one year probation. They can not have unsupervised contact with any minor under the age of 17. According to Glanda, the 11-year-old was removed from the house, along with a younger brother. Neither of them can have unsupervised contact with their mother. The baby is with the 11-year-old mother. Blythe is being held on a $1 million bond an could be sentenced to life in prison. So does that mean so was probably 10 when she was impregnated? lock them up and toss the key. Some people shouldn't be parents.

Why on earth is he doing bariatrics? Hmmmm, he was a fellow in pediatric surgery way back when (1998ish). I remember him well. I also understand your frustration even better.
  13. It'd be time for a new doc for me. I can completely understand your getting disgusted. As long as we are sticking to small reasonable portions and moving around, not trying to sabotage the band by eating nothing but ice cream, my theory is the surgeons work for us, we are their boss. Is there a fill center usa anywhere near you?
  14. Call them and tell them you want it. I did.

  16. I think i have to find an Avenue... If only just for me. I used to ALWAYS make sure my bras and panties matched, and that I was always clean shaven. After a while you just get tired of doing it for...what? I know, I know I was supposedly doing it for me. But let's be honest here folks, I can't even see my hoohoodilly, so why would I care if it's perfectly shaved? Perhaps I'll have to get back at it.
  17. Sorry, if it is in the contract in writing that it must be a 12 month supervised program of weight loss, then that's it. I had to do it, my insurance required a 12 month MD supervised weight loss program and I had to have a 5% loss of my excess weight in that 12 months. The loss is to show your committment to the change. In my case, the 5% loss would have totalled 9 lbs. They also required me to visit MONTHLY and maintain regular attendance, miss a month and the clock starts over! In that year I had another health crisis, and ended up actually gaining 17lbs on top of the 9lbs I needed to lose (they don't look at your highest weight, they look at the weight your doctor records when you start the clock on the 12 months). I then started to lose some before my 12th month, but was still up by quite a few lbs. I had letters from my internist and my cardiologist saying it wasn't my fault and that the gain was because of my medical condition and meds I had to take. The insurance company didn't care, I still had to lose the weight I gained, PLUS the original 9lbs. So I guess the answer is no, there is no way around it. Make sure you call your insurance company and have them mail you a copy of their requirements so you have them in writing. Study them and make sure you will be able to meet each of them (like my 5% excess loss, monthly visits, etc.), call and make your appt now and get started. Is it required to see an MD for those 12 months, or would a program like Jenny Craig suffice (VERY important to find out the distinction!)? Make sure that your doctor documents EVERY MONTH not only your weight, but what you are doing to try to lose weight. It can be as simple as documenting that you are eating more vegetables, that you have started walking 30 minutes a day, that you cut out sweets, that you are trying Atkins, whatever. But it MUST be documented EVERY MONTH. Sucks, I know. I was denied because I didn't lose the weight and all total it took me 15 months until I got covered. Had I known that was what was going to happen, I would have taken a loan and been a self-pay with Aceves or Rumbaut or Ortiz in Mexico. When I switched to this ins company I had been told it was a 6 month requirement, only to find it was 12 months. By the time I got into it, then denied, I got so mad I decided those f&%k#$s were going to pay for this surgery come heck or high Water. I wish you both luck, get started NOW!
  18. Congrats!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!

  22. I would really try to plan for surgery in Late July and then Europe early in September, here's why: a)that should give you about six weeks for recovery time b)you should be on "real" food by then c)you'll be farther post-op and hopefully diminsh your likelihood to develop a DVT on such a long flight d)you'll have lost a bit of weight and be more comfy flying I also would probably hold off on a fill until after your trip to Europe. Though it will be your first fill and very rarely do folks get their "sweet spot" in terms of restriction with their first fill so waiting is debatable. I personally would hold off on my first fill if I were in your shoes for a couple of reasons. 1)I have also heard that some folks get a feeling of fullness when flying, and your flight will be a long one. 2)If it were me and my bad luck, I'd get my restriction (sometimes it takes days or a couple of weeks for the restricted feeling to come after a fill) in Europe and have to find an ER for an emergency defill (rare, but with my luck...) 3)food in Europe...need I say more? 4)depending on how soon between your fill and your flight, you mught be on liquids or mushies for the first couple days of your trip (based on what your doctor's guidelines are for diet post-fill).
