  1. There are Vitamins that come in liquid form. Calcium with Vit D made by wellesse is really good and if you take one tbsp in the morning and one in the afternoon you will be able to absorb the Vitamin. B12 you can get as a subligual. I am sure they make a liquid Multivitamin you would have to check it out. As Tiff said your body needs electrolytes to function. Try to get in some gatorade to up your Fluid and get those electrolytes in. Your body functions depend on the electrolytes. You need to get in your protein! If your body starts to eat your muscles (and your heart is a muscle) you will put yourself in more danger. Have you tried natural Protein (tuna, salmon, Peanut Butter, eggs) check out what is available and what you can tolerate. Your doctor will have more suggestions for you, they will know what you need to do and how to go about it. Take care of yourself! Keep us posted on your progress.
  2. You are looking good! Keep up the great work and keep us posted on your progress.
  3. Ever since I paid for my plane tickets and put my deposit down I have been a bundle of nerves. I keep on thinking this is for real now that I have paid. Time seems to be flying yet going slow and I am full of so many emotions that I wonder what I will be like closer to the actual date. We are getting the surgery within the same week.
  4. Congratulations! You are working that sleeve and soon you will be at goal. Keep us posted on your progress.

  11. I have been slowly making the changes needed before my surgery in Feb 2011. What I really need to do is get more control of my carb intake it is definitly out of control over the holidays.
  12. Have you thought of buying thermal underwear? Its under your clothes and they should keep you toasty warm. I know I enjoy wearing them on those cold -30 celcius days and nights here in Canada
  13. hehehe Hempglobin.. BBJ what was on your mind labs are looking great!
  14. Congratulations both excellent NSV's.
  15. Personally I do not believe you have to explain yourself. This is your body and your decision and if your MIL feels that she owns the right to tell you what you should and should not do with your life. Then it should be equal and you can tell her what she can and can not do with her life. Put in in perspective and say that negative comments at this time are to be kept to herself. All the best to you!
  16. 1 stone = 14 Lbs so Twostepsback has lost around 42 Lbs. Congratulations Twosteps! Keep us posted on your journey.
  17. Things will start to get better soon. Glad you are doing well. Keep us posted on your journey.
  18. With any surgery there is a chance of clots. The heparin is to help prevent clots that could form post surgery (any surgery that is). I think your doctor is taking precautions.
  19. Happy Birthday Tiff! Have a wonderful day.
  20. Thank you for sharing your journey. It was a bit of a wait but you eventually got to where you wanted to and dealt with another problem in the mean time. God bless you. Keep us posted on the rest of your journey.
  21. Congratulations! Keep us posted on your journey.
  22. Probably would not hurt to take with a meal or with an acidic drink. Just to cover your bases. Other than that it may take awhile for your nails to grow strong again.
  23. The caltrate is it calcium carbonate or calcium citrate? You need an acidic environment to take calcium carbonate (which is alkaline). You would have to take it right after a meal or with acidic orange juice. Calcium citrate is acidic and therefore you could take it on its own. Just a thought Lily
  24. You go girl! Keep the postings coming.
