  1. It is a new and wonderful relationship with food. Thank you for your update on your success and now onto maintenence. There is a section on VST where people who are at maintenence can post about their progress or struggles. You should check it out.
  2. I love salad rolls!!! Thanks for the recipe.
  3. I am 2 months out from having surgery with Dr Aceves and have not had any problems or needed to call my doctor. In the beginning I needed to sip sip sip but now that I am farther out I can take larger drinks of water. I was a big gulper of water before surgery and the mouthfuls that I take now are large I just can't down a whole litre in 5 mins. It will take me a little longer but not much maybe 15 mins.
  4. AutumnLily ........?.............?..............270...............? I will fill in the rest of the numbers on April 25. Im excited to join this thread!
  5. This information I found in Prilosec side effects online. High doses and long-term use (1 year or longer) may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine. Therefore, it is important to use the lowest doses and shortest duration of treatment necessary for the condition being treated. What is the dose your doctor prescibed? Maybe you need to try a different brand of PPI as it seems Prilosec is not covering you as well as it should.
  6. You both are doing very well!! Keep up the great momentum and you will be at goal sooner than you thought! Congratulations to you both.
  7. Congratulations Tiffany!!!! You have made it to a place I think most of us covet!
  8. As long as you are not in Ketosis and are taking prenatal Vitamins you should be fine. The baby will take their nourishment from you. Therefore it is your body that will suffer if you are not getting in enough calories. Check with Tiffykins as to a recommended caloric intake. I would assume 1200 to 1500 would be good. But then again I am not doctor. Check with your doc and see what they say. Oh and I should not forget Congratulations!!!!
  9. I think it has to do with nice smelling candles but I could be wrong.
  10. Did you check on obesity help . com? Maybe you might find someone on this forum who is experiencing what you are if you feel comfortable to discuss it openly. I hope you find what you are looking for.
  11. You are working that sleeve! Keep up the great work.
  12. You could use your tax refund or just keep on saving until you have enough money to pay. I was able to get a loan so if you can go that route then you can fast track your surgery. Hope you figure out your finances soon.
  13. What are you eating daily (carbs, protein, and water intake)? What is your daily exercise like. It helps sometimes to see what you are eating (maybe you have increased your salt?). This information will help others give you ideas as to what to do.
  14. Congratulations on losing 95lbs. You look amazing in your new photo!
  15. The taste of food does come back to you. I think it has something to do with the anesthetic affecting the taste buds. I have had some foods that taste different still to this day but most of the food I eat now tastes like it did pre op. Welcome to solids! I find ground beef with taco seasoning pretty darn good Oh and dover sole is sooo yummm. Congratulations on the weight loss. You are making the most of your sleeve.
  16. Welcome to the group! The sleeve has helped me make a major change to my life. I know eat to live and not live to eat. You will see the progress you wanted to see with the band. There is a lot of information on the site. Just put in the search area when you are in the forums tab and type what you want and I am pretty sure you will find it. If not then post and someone will have a reply.
  17. Loving the bump!! You look radiant.
  18. I would be dancing a jig if I was as close to 100 lbs as you are. Congratulations on your successes!!! I just entered the 200's and have a ways to go but know how exciting it is to get to the next level down.
  19. According to fit watch at 375 lbs a person will burn approximately 161 calories an hour during sleep. At 275 lbs it is 118 calories burned an hour durning sleep. So if you sleep 8 hours that is over 800 calories burned just doing nothing. Then there is the awake hours when you are moving around and doing some form of activity. So I can see how a deficit is produced if you are feeding your body 1000 cals you have almost burned that up sleeping. Im just guessing here and am not a specialist. Just adding my 2 cents.
  20. Wow is all I can say!!! You definitly have worked your sleeve and look awesome.
  21. I have been following Crosswinds posts and I knew you were having some fun. I did not see your post as being rude but actually funny. Just wanted to re-assure you that I did not miss understand what you were getting at.
  22. I feel for all who have to do a liquid pre op diet. My pre op diet was a week and it was just low carb so I was still able to have proteins and such. Soon you will be at your surgery and have already reaped some benefits from your pre op.
  23. Happy Birthday!!!! Congrats on the movement of your scale to under 13 stone.
  24. Stalls do happen from time to time. Its just your body trying to figure out what is going on. You should take measurements for the next time you stall to see that you are losing inches but not weight. I know they are frustrating but soon enough it will break and you will be on your way again.
