This is great! I really enjoy reading everyone's NSVs. I went from a 42DD to a 38DD and now I'm having to be fitted again. I love it. And Leslie - you're doing fantastic for just having had your surgery a few weeks ago. Wait until it's been a few months and you can hardly believe how small you've gotten

I was going crazy at 4 days out because I just wanted to CHEW. It does get better, especially as you get to progress thru the food stages. When I went to puree/mushee...I made a big ol' bowl of guacamole and loved every last little bite. Best guacamole of my life!

A couple NSVs I wanted to share
1. Removed the ol' bra extender!
2. Rings are too loose. They are spinning on my fingers.
3. Watch is too big, need to remove a link...or 2!
4. Officially in an XL! No more plus size section for tops!!
5. Need to buy some new undies!! I am constantly pulling them up!
6. Last and my FAVE... I can CROSS MY LEGS!!
I told my husband: "I'm just gonna sit here, with my legs crossed....forever!"

Nuva ring for me. I am not very compliant with taking my pill everyday. My NP said that the ring was a great choice due to having WLS. I have used it in the past and no problems with it at all.

It's not all pretty - it's not all easy to go from morbidly obese to...well..not morbidly obese. I know when I was pre-op I was always looking for the terrible side effects so I had in my mind the potential of what difficult steps I had ahead for me. Now that I'm 7 months out and down 109 pounds, I know the reality of what I had to adjust to.
1. Cute shirt in department store ad catches my eye. It's plus sized, it was drape over me, it's not an option.
2. Lane Bryant emails are now just more spam.
3. Can't say "LMAO" anymore cause it's already gone...
4. Automatic toilets scare the crap out of you! There's no longer that one minute delay after my big ol fat butt gets off the toilet. The immediate "Whooosh!" is so unexpected!
5. Bummed out MIL when she offered to give me the 16's she had gotten too thin for an was now in her goal weight of a 14 and had to tell her I was now at a 12 (okay, so maybe I did kinda enjoy that moment...PS- now a size 10)

Wait...you mean I SHOULDN'T weigh myself 1000 times a day?! PSH. that's unheard of!
OK..OKAY!! I'm in. Me weighing myself everyday isn't doing me any good anyway. I see the 1lb loss everyday and I just shrug my shoulders, unimpressed. I think I will appreciate the big number vs all the small ones.

24 hour pre-op for me. I have surgery on Monday. My surg tech told me 2 days clear liquid, but my surgeon told me that i could start it on Sunday. So that is what I will do. I ate light today (soups and sandwiches, had a couple Cookies with the kids after decorating the tree) and will be ready for liquids tomorrow!

I agee with Ocean Ophelia. You are hitting a brick wall and you just need to take it one day at a time and break thru it. . I am 10 days out too, feel your pain, and DYING for real food. I am on full liquids that includes applesauce and strained Soups. I am having a really hard time not eating, but I am down 11 pounds and starting to get the hang of this new little tummy I have. I am guilty of chewing and spitting, just because I am so tired of sweets and want the flavor and texture of food in my mouth again!!! I am not recommending it, but DAMN it is gooood!
Just get thru the next 4 days, you really have no choice at this point. This journey will not be easy, but it will be worth it. This stage is only temporary. Short term scarifice, long term gain.

I had that same problem when i was a few days out. i noticed that i didn't get the traditional feeling of full, I started burping alot (little tiny burps, not big belches) and I would have pressure in my chest. Now I can feel full. I was told that our tummies are still swollen and kind of numb so we can't really tell just yet. I just started feeling the traditional sense of full a couple days ago, still with the burps too. Slowly eat, make sure you take at least 30 minutes to eat, put your fork/spoon down after every bite and listen to your new body.

Today I had to return some clothes I ordered online to Fashion Bug and managed to get the sister who doesn't totally hate shopping to go with me. Since I was returning clothes because they were too big it was okay to browse as long as I didn't spend more then I was refunded right?
Well, shopping is so much fun right now! In August I remember being in Fashion Bug to get an outfit for my uncles 80th bday and crying in the dressing room when I had to try on 4x because 3x just didn't work anymore. So today I go into the dressing room with a few shirts in 3x and one 2x just because they didn't have it in a 3x. I tried on the 2x first because I figured I could cheer myself up with the other shirts when this one didn't fit.... But guess what!!
I had to peak my head out of the dressing room and ask Alyse "Can you see if this one is on the clearance rack in a 1x?" Seriously, that moment is totally in my top 10 best moments ever! I ended up getting a few shirts that were 2x and a few that were 1x. I comfortably fit the 2x's now- but I know it won't be long before I need the 1xs. (At $5/each how can you not stock up a little in the smaller sizes?)
It was such a fantastic day. Alyse hasn't seen me since before my surgery because she was away at college. When she saw me for the first time last night she couldn't stop telling me all the places she could see the weight loss. (face, stomach, legs, ect.) I kept telling her to shut up and stop trying to make me feel good.... This went on all night until she made me stand in the doorway I took my preop pics and then loaded the new ones into the computer side by side.... WOW! You can see the difference.
Who knew I have a neck? lol!!!

Dang... I need to find a woman fresh off a sleeve!

I hear ya on the "hurts the ribcage". Plus, if I ever got the thing on I'd never be able to go to the bathroom ALL day! Whomever is in the stall next to me would think I'm wrestling alligators in the loo just trying to put the thing back on.

You're funny. A sundae wouldn't even make me blink. A potatochip, maybe but not a sundae!
I don't feel attacked and I don't know where I wuld be without th forum. We all need to learn to seprate the chaff from the grain and blow it off. Not everyone has the ability to respond but all who respond do care at one level or another.

Congrats!! Your video really inspired me. I'm sitting here smiling from ear to ear with tears in my eyes. Your kids look so happy for you. What an amazing support system to have now. I admire the strength and courage you have found to break free from your bondages and break thru to new life. Congrats again!

I'm DYING!! I am soooo looking forward to monday so I can have yogurt, Soup, etc. I am at the point to where I just want to chew some food and spit it out just so I can have the flavor and texture in my mouth!! GOD HELP ME!!

My sleeve hates....everything else!
But then again I am one week post op...hurry up regular diet and save me!

I am soo excited and soooo nervous! Tomorrow will be the 1st day to the rest of my life and I can't wait for this journey to begin. Check in at the hospital is at 830 with surgery scheduled at 11. I am most nervous about the gas afterward but Dr gave me the OK to use the Gas X strips, hopefully that will lighten the load! :wink1:

Had my pre-op class today, got pre-registered at the hospital yesterday and my pre-op with my surgeon is tomorrow. I start my clear liquid diet on Saturday. Whew. Wow. I can't believe this is really going to happen! I am so anxious, nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time! DH and I will be going out for my "last meal" tomorrow night. wow. wow. This is it.....almost there!

Thanks for the support, guys--glad I checked in before leaving the office I will just focus on the positive and give her a knowing look when I start to melt before her eyes!

No one knows like you what you need to do. They will understand better when they see the 100 pounds gone.

@Sleeve 4 me: You haven't?!! You look so small and tight in your photos. You go girl!! I thought you did already! I would do it in a heart beat. I can't wait until I have to face that decision!
