  1. Attribute not contribute.....silly auto correct!
  2. I am 10 weeks out. Of course for the first five weeks or so I found it difficult to reach 600 calories in a day. But it has totally changed the past couple weeks. I am so hungry. Especially at night. I am finding it really difficult to eat 800 or less calories a day. I am a night shift nurse. I contribute my night time hunger to my odd wake/sleep cycle. For example I ate 900 calories today and as I type my stomach is loudly growling and I am hungry. What are your most filling foods? Any advice is much appreciated
  3. I am 10 weeks out. I am constantly craving mustard, vinegar and diet Pepsi. Separately that is. What are your cravings? Past or present.
  4. They stay. However there are disolvable ones. But I believe most surgeons use medical grade titanium staples.
  5. Yummy! I think we will have that tonight. Thanks!
  6. What temp do you bake it at?
  7. I also have. I'm 10 weeks out and 40 pounds down. My lower back has been killing me the last week and a half. Not sure why...
  8. You're not a wimp. It was very uncomfortable for me too. I spent the first week out sleeping my nights on my couch. It is most likely gas. But if it increasingly painful and you aren't getting any relief, you may want to contact your Dr. Shoulder pain can be indicative if a leak. Leaks are extremely rare so try not to worry. But if you feels worse you should contact your Dr. xoxoxoxo
  9. They have carmel ones and vanilla ones too...yummy!!!
  10. Do you use? I am anemic so I take 120mg daily. I am using Bariatric Advantage right now but its so expensive. Looking for an alternative that will work. Thanks!
  11. I can totally relate! You sound exactly like I did when I got home from the hospital. Contact your physician for an antinausea medication. It saved my sanity. Your sleeve is very swollen and irritated. I had the horrible spasms too. When you get them just stop drinking for a bit. It was extremely hard for me to get my water and protein in the first 4 weeks. Just do the best you can. Yes you need that prilosec. It will help your sleeve heal. Dump the contents into a spoonful of applesauce, pudding or yogurt. And work on getting it down slowly. It will take a while. Warm liquids are great too. They seemed to go down easier in the beginning. Good luck.
  12. P.s I get most of my protein from shakes. I really don't like meat. Do you think upping my meat and egg intake will make me more satisfied? Just a thought....
  13. I seem to have very little appetite during the day. But around dinner and lasting until I fall asleep, I AM STARVING!!!! It seems as though its getting worse. I haven't been able to keep my calories under 900. Tonight I went all the way up to 1200. I have seen a dramatic decrease in my rate of my weight, as to be expected. I'm getting all my water and protein in. I'm on a PPI. I signed up with a gym today hoping if I up my intensity of my workouts my hunger will diminish. I am 8.5 weeks out from surgery and down 40 pounds. 25 since surgery. I want to nip this in the bud and get back on track. Any suggestions?
  14. Do they exist? All the protein bars I have looked at have tons of calories and carbs. Sure hoping to find one that's low in carbs and calories!!!! Any suggestions?
  15. I'm having it right now as I type. I interpret it as my sleeves way of telling me its hungry. It's a bit like cramping. I'm sure its pretty normal and nothing to worry about.
  16. MICHELLE what kind of shakes are you using?
  17. Your doing great! I'm 8 weeks out and down 20 pounds. My doctor said that was average. So you are doing fantastic
  18. P.s. have you spoken to your Dr.? Maybe you would benefit from an antidepressant. I am on one and it has helped me.
  19. No your not going nuts. I am the same way. It is awful feeling. I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. I just try to focus on the weight loss. Are you almost to goal? How many calories, protein, carbs etc. do you eat daily? What kind of exercise are you doing?
