  2. I work on a medsurg floor and a ob floor. I am hoping I will get staffed in ob a lot the first couple weeks i'm back. Newborns are a lot easier to move than adults
  3. Most likely it is from the stress of surgery. It probably knocked your immune system for a loop. I am a nurse and plan on getting my flu shot. I don't think there should be an issue. But before you do, rest up and get yourself better. Is it possible that you have fibromyalgia? Stress on the body can really cause the pain of that to flare up. You should probably discuss how you feel with your PCP. Best wishes and feel better soon.
  4. It's nuts i tell ya!!! I am sitting here thinking, wow Iv'e only had 320 calories today. How the heck am I gonna bump it up? I think I will have some greek yogurt and maybe a popsicle later....lol
  5. I don't think so. My tummy feels the same. Smae as it would be after a c section. The mommy's tummy feels the same.
  6. Well I'm trying the silica, biotin and nioxin shampoo. It can't hurt....Hopefully it cuts back on the shedding a little. I know it can't be eliminated totally...darn it!
  7. A while back there was a thread about good things to get at costco. I can't seem to find it. If you see it can you please pull it to the top for me? Thanks!
  8. I had my surgery on 8/26. I am cleared to go back to work on the 20th. I am really scared. I work 12 hour night shifts. I am so afraid I am going to crash. How did all of you do after returning to work? I am still on liquids and feeling weak and exhausted. I don't know why I am so scared....Advice please!

  10. Wnat the heck! LOL!!!! They actually serve chicken livers????
  11. By the way! That is a ton of weight lost for only being one week out! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Sugar Free vanilla pudding sits okay with my sleevey. Not much else has since having it done on 8/26. Give it a try. Maybe it will work for you too.
  13. Thats so awesome!!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!
  14. I quit taking my metformin for my PCOS prior to surgery. I was afraid that it would dump my blood sugar too drastically. It did before the sleeve, so I was worried about what it would do once I was taking in to little food. You are never supposed to crush or break extended release pills. My advice would be to go back to the regular non extended release, and crush them and put them in apple sauce. I hope you find your answer soon.
  15. Torsion is the term for the bowel or stomach twisting
  16. SLEEVE 4 ME you were the person I was looking for when I originally posted that! Your answer would have been perfect. Just to know that someone else out there tried it. That is what I was looking for LOL....
  17. Yes TempChange, actually the icecream wasn't that appealing to me either. I was just weak and desperate for something I knew would give me some fat and sugar. I was really tired of feeling so yuck. I aggree, we are all here to support each other. I wasn't looking for someone to tell me IF I should eat it, I was looking for advice on how ice cream might sit at two weeks out. I'm not dumb. I KNOW that ice cream isn't a good nutritional choice LOL. I deserve a bit more credit than that I think. But what's done is done. I am glad that we have this great community to bounce ideas off each other. Thanks!
  18. I can't wait to feel confident in a swimming suit. Totally feeling the sexy panty thing too. Shopping in the regular section will be fabulous. I love the one about not having to pay the extra $ for plus size scrubs!!!! So many things we have been missing out on!
  19. Yes Tiff, it totally got blown out of proportion. Oh well, life goes on. Thanks for the advice.
  20. Hahaha Thanks! I am an RN and knew my body needed the power at the time. I got jumped on like I at a gallon of double fudge brownie ooey gooey something or other. For pete's sake, it was half of a low fat vanilla cone. I wasn't asking if it was "okay" to search for approval. I simply wanted to know if others thought it would be too heavy for my two week out tummy. I didn't need the spiel of bad choices blah blah blah. LOL. Oh well, it is what it is. Thanks for being so kind. We are in this thing together, and I'm glad I have someone like you! :-)
  21. Silica? I read somewhere that it is supposed to help cut down the hair loss. Also COQ10. Just curious.... Thanks!
  22. Thats exactly where I was coming from Sleeve4me. Thanks for understanding
  23. Actually the pain wasn't to bad. Do You have a pain pump at this point? I did the first day, and They took it away on day 2. I actually found that the oral pain medication worked better for me The trick is to stay on top of your pain. Don't let it get excruciating before you ask for medication. Walking helps too. You wont get so stiff. Good luck
