  1. Blackberry are you a doctor? I think its great that you talked to your patient. It is very comforting knowing that a medical professional is supportive.
  2. I'm using the water jug from the hospital. It is nicely marked and has a straw or a flap that opens for sipping. Its working great.
  3. How on earth will I ever be able to get in 64oz of water and 60gms of protein!?!? I had my surgery on 8/26. At this point I am handling 1/2 of a protein drink (15gms protein ) and small sips of water. Is There light at the end of the tunnel?
  4. Anyone have tips on how to reduce hair loss?
  5. Kala that is so funny that you mention an apocolyptic event. Same thing ran through my head!!! Lol:)
  6. This is a great point. I am an RN so I know the physiological effect of water pills. Some take potassium with them as they flush out the water. This can cause serious cardiac issues. Accompanied with the stomach flu=no good! I'm glad you're doing better and thanks for sharing.
  7. Pain is definitely under control. Procedure went well. Yes I am up and walking. Eating on the other hand hasn't been so good. I did great while I was in the hospital. When I got home I was barely able to keep water down. My Dr. Called in something for nausea, so hopefully it will improve. At this point I'm doing water and flat Ginger ale.
  8. I'm having serious anxiety about what I've done. Its hard to explain. I am feeling scared that I changed my internal body. I'm scared that down the road they are going to find that gastric sleeving is dangers. Unlike the by pass it is not reversible. And now its too late. Please tell me others have felt like this...I had mine done 8/26/11
  9. Have any of you used ice on your abdomen to help with pain control and swelling? Wondering if its okay or a no no????
  10. Hi all. I had my sleeve done on Friday the 26th, four days ago. I was released from the hospital today. I was doing well keeping fluids down during my hospital stay. I got sick on the car ride home, and since am having an awful time drinking the required 30ml of fluid every fifteen minutes. I can hardly keep water down, let alone protein drink. I am worried that I am abnormal or that something is wrong. Others make it sound like it was no issue in keeping liquids down. I'm also feel extremely emotional. I am worried that I did the wrong thing. Please give me feedback on your experiences and any advice you may have.
