  1. I'm one week out and the nurse cleared me for all exercise just no heavy lifting. For now I just walk about an hour to an hour and a half everyday. 15-45 min here and there. I'm thinking of adding more cardio and toning in but from what y'all are saying maybe its better to take it slow. My belly button site still hurts also. :/
  2. So I ordered an ice cream maker to make Protein ice cream from the egg face website, and while I await that my dad made a new creation I thought I'd share. I'm currently on full liquids 2 tspns low fat sour cream 3 tblspns fat free whipped topping Mix and freeze We had some frozen strawberries we packaged ourselves. He was letting some thaw for him and we used some of the natural juices strained out. Maybe like a teaspoon if that. I couldn't get through the whole thing but mm it was delicious. The best part is that right when it hits it tongue it instantly melts. Hope u enjoy
  3. I also got the syntrax sampler pack, which combos are good as far as flavors to mix. I tried the apple ecstacy with 4 oz apple juice 4 oz water and it was pretty painful to get down. I dont know what flavors would mix well.
  4. I just had my surgery only a week ago but I know all nut's and docs are diff. My nut sheet says 3 meals and snacks in between. Right now I'm just trying to get in liquids and protein but as long as u keep ur levels under control I don't see why 6 small meals would be so bad. Are you drinking with ur meals? I know they say that can stall weight loss too. Hope all is well!
  5. U go girl! Absolutely amazing. U look wonderful!
  6. Where is this recipe. Sounds good
  7. I love body fortress brand. They have a whey isolate in vanilla with 30 g of protein in one scoop. Also they have cookies and cream and chocolate peanut butter protein with 26 g protein per scoop. I use 4 oz of lactose free fat free milk which adds a little more protein but I can get 60+ g of protein in 2 six oz shakes I think that's great. They taste amazing and best thing the isolate is only $22 and the reg whey is only $15! All at walmart. They have more flavors like strawberry, and chocolate but I haven't tried them yet.
  8. Im on full liquids as well and I tried eating some cream soups they did not agree with me either. I will try again next week. Everyone is different we probably just need to give our tummies a little more time to adjust before we feed them thick liquids. I'm trying new recipes with broth.
  9. I had a half a pack of tic tacs on Wednesday
  10. Did you mean soupaday? I was trying to figure this out for the longest and this is the only website I found thats close and that works. Mmm cant wait to try one!
  11. No problem, honestly that was my main concern because I consider myself to have a very low pain tolerance but Im about 5 days out and have little to no pain mainly just some minor discomfort. I was so surprised to heal quickly but Im strictly sticking to doctors orders, make sure u sip sip sip all day on Water and go for walks every 2 hours. At first its hard to get up or down but within 2 days or so it gets easier and the more you do the better you feel =) I cant wait for everyone else to get their sleeve Im so excited you guys are going to love it <3
  12. The body fortress whey protein isolate from walmart is 30g protein per scoop and honestly it tastes like a vanilla milkshake to me. I even got my dad drinking them after he works out. The vanilla flavor has a bit of a coconuty taste but I love it, and the plus side is a 2lb container is only $22, no way you could beat that. I also ordered the sample syntrax nectar packets so I can try out different flavors and see which one I like best after surgery. I start my full liquids tomorrow so I hope my taste buds havent changed that much since surgery. Good luck tho, its mostly just trial and error finding something you like.
  13. Thanx so much for the support. Honestly all of you guys are going to do soo good! The surgery is not as bad as I imagined Im already up and walking around with minimal pain. My tonsillectomy last year was wayyy worse than this surgery. Hope thats comforting to some of the people that are scared =)
  14. I have wellmark bcbs and was denied twice and it took me about 8 months to get approved it was through the external appeals process they finally said yes.

  18. I got a lot of compression type shirts at burlington and tj maxx they have all different types of designs too so you can chose with or without sleeves and the fit and color and all that.
  19. Being on this site all day at work does help a bit lol, I also try and drink a lot of water so I can stay more "full" Also you could try different flavors of crystal light
  20. When you puree foods do you just put them in the blender together? Or do you need a food processor or something. Im not a good cook so I dont know much about cooking.
