I always use Allrecipes.com to find good things to make. Before my surgery I made and froze black bean soup, split pea soup, and lentil soup. I just look on Allrecipes and pick a recipe with a high rating and a lot of reviews. Then I read the reviews to see if other cooks have tweaked the recipe.

My Chili

Brown two pounds ground beef and 2 large yellow onions (drain the meat)

Add 3 packs McKormicks Chili Seasoning (I use 2 mild and 1 hot)

Add 2 large cans or 4 regular cans of diced tomatoes

Add 1 large jar of salsa (I use Pace chunky mild)

Add 1 can of Water

Add 1 tablespoon chili powder

Add 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Simmer for 4 hours

I don't put Beans in my chili... Its a simple recipe but everyone that eats it loves it!
