Hey! Congrats and good luck! I just had surgery on the 5th and can tell you not eating is definitely a challenge (in your head), but not bad as long as you stay busy an away from the food. I've been battling head hunger like nobody's business. It's been tough. When I think about how I was before surgery, I never would have been able to make it two weeks on clear liquids alone without feeling any hunger. Just keep in mind that you WILL eat again and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's easier said than done, but its the truth. I've still been cooking for my fiancé as normal, even though I couldn't eat it. I just prepare it then leave the kitchen and sit in the loving room while he eats. The only thing in my house that REALLY got me was a pizza that he was eating one day. It smelled SO good!! I was blessed enough to have a sinus infection right after surgery, so I couldn't smell for most of my first week! Haha
