  1. Today I had a massive pancake craving so I did some research and found an awesome recipe! Protein pancakes 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese 4 egg whites 1/2 cup oats 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1 packet sweetnlow Blend everything up till smooth and measure 1/4 cup scoops in to hot skillet. Flip when bubbly and top with sugar free syrup, Peanut Butter, or fruit. Stats: Makes 6 pancakes. Calories: 49 Fat: 0.5 g Carbs: 5.7g Sugar: 0.2g Protein: 5 g Sooooooo good!
  2. This quilt is absolutely beautiful! So awesome for summer!
  3. Anyone else here mourn the amount of food they CANNOT eat? I'm happy i did the bypass and seeing great results so far, but I can't help but to mourn binge eating... I would love to just eat a whole pizza, box of chips ahoy, and half gallon of milk. Ugh. I need to find a new way of thinking. I miss fat Friday nights with pizza and snacks.
  4. Anyone accidentally overeat than feel miserable for hours? I think I took one bite too many at dinner and now I feel yucky.
  5. Since Friday has always been "pizza day" in our house, I am making my fiancé a flatbread pizza on a 100 calorie flatbread. For myself, I am making a layered pizza casserole with laughing cow cream cheese on the bottom, a layer of sauce, a layer of low fat mozz, and a top layer of shredded turkey pepperoni. Can't wait!
  6. Just eat slowly and choose something surgery friendly. You'll be fine.
  7. Yes, thankfully, they gave me another tiny bottle of the Roxicet. That's all I need. Tylenol works just fine during the day, but I needed something strong for bedtime when I am truly in PAIN.
  8. Thank you so much. I am happy too. I just accepted a promotion this morning and was worried that would be in jeopardy if I needed more surgery.
  9. I had a few noodles out of a Smart Ones ziti marina TV dinner. Tastes insanely relish, but about 10 noodles filled me up. Lol
  10. Thank you guys. Turns out, I have multiple hematomas in my abdominal wall from all the manipulation of surgery. The ER doc said that they're very painful and will go away with time. And yes, I agree, they are VERY painful.
  11. Waiting in the ER and praying this is just something simple and stupid.
  12. If you're still only on liquids, the thing I remember is liquids in=liquids out. :/ I just started soft food on Tuesday and am finally past everything being completely liquid coming out. If you're running a fever or something, then I would worry.
  13. Hey all... So it's a few days later and the pain just keeps getting worse. I'm planning on going in to the ER after work if it doesn't ease up (which I suspect it won't). I haven't slept in DAYS. It's just awful. If this is a pulled muscle, my goodness! It's insanely painful! My concern is they're going to try and admit me. I don't want to be admitted. :/
  14. I'm on soft foods, so tonight I took some of the chicken I grilled up for Sunday dinner and put it in the blender with chicken broth. Once that was nicely puréed, I added a little cheese, taco sauce, and a TBS of red pepper hummus. I mixed it all up, heated it up, and it tasted SO good!
  15. My doctor said only 2-4 TBS in a meal as well. At this point, 2 tablespoons is just about enough and so far it's all stayed down. Maybe try with 1 TBS and work your way up...
  16. Omg I ate tuna salad at lunch today. It tastes great, but I are just a bit too much and now I feel bloated an uncomfortable. I seriously only are like 2 TBS. lol this is the weirdest and coolest experience ever!
  17. I am concerned about my appendix. Supposedly when they did the ultrasound, it looked fine... I don't know... They're saying it could be a pulled muscle. I've never felt a pulled muscle that just continually got worse and worse...
  18. So I'm having horrible lower right quadrant pain. I feel like I'm being dismissed by my surgeon and gynecologist. My surgeon sent me to my gyne and my gyne pretty much said I'm too fat to do a proper exam so she sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound. The ultrasound revealed nothing (as I suspected because I am not feeling the pain THAT low). Now they're like "oh well... We're not sure" and leaving it at that. I am MISERABLE. The pain keeps getting worse and worse. I don't want to go to the ER cause I'm afraid of being admitted again. I have no clue what to do at this point. I haven't slept in days.
  19. My fiancé wants me to ask for a refill as well cause I'm having HORRIBLE pain on my right side. I feel like an ass asking for more. It sounds so silly to just suffer over asking for something, but I don't want them thinking I'm hooked.
  20. I had a scrambled egg with cheese on top. Tasted heavenly!
  21. Wellllll... I finally tried food for the first time!! Here is my lovely egg with a piece of cheese on top. Holy. Yum! I'm still currently eating (chewing away) and trying to listen to my body while I do so. It definitely is a new way of eating. Hoping this continues to go well!
