  1. That is the exact reason why I'm back on here after a year or more. I yoyo now between 182 to 189. I eat most of the time making good choices, but lately, I find that chocolate and candy are in my hands more than ever. Work was very hectic and didn't allow me to exercise like I was. I was working 6-7 days a week, 12 hours days. Now that work is "normal" again I need to get back to basics. I need help though. I will make a commitment to check this site and reconnect every day. I'd love to be a buddy to you, if you'd like. We could support each other.
  2. I find myself like you two. I've done a decent job but, I find that my old eating habits are creeping back in. too want to start over. Good luck in your journeys.
  3. I feel that way about soda. There are some days I could go for a big cold glass of Pepsi
  4. Today I went into American Eagle to buy some jeans for my son. While in the store I saw a shirt that I thought was cute so I picked up the XL to try it on....It was too big. I fit into a LARGE!!! I don't remember the last time I fit into a large. When I started my journey I was in a 2x top (and it was tight). YEAH!
  5. I have a very hard time with both. If I try to eat them they come back up, so I haven't eat either of them in a long time.
  6. I'm 16 months out and have lost 74 pounds. I'd like to lose between 32 and 42 more. I'd like to hit my goal by December which will be my 2 year anniversary. I'd like to know how long it took everyone to hit your goal weight.
  7. I hear all of you. I'm 186 and everyone tells me I look awsome and are really starting to tell me how much I've lost and how "skinny" I look. I've lost 70 but when I look in the mirror I still think I'm huge. I had started to excerise to tone up, then had a hysterectomy so I've been "off" for a few weeks I know in that I'm losing weight and I'm smaller but my head is still playing games with me. I still look in the plus size for clothes, yet today I tried tops on and could wear xl. It's a terrible game our minds play with us.
  8. Great job! Keep up the great work!
  9. my email is ritascot@twcny.rr.com I'm 42 but would be interested in checking in daily with people. I do use this site often, but would love the extra support. I too have been struggling. I've been bouncing up and down with the same 4 pounds for 2 months now. I've been banded since 12/30/11 and as of today am down 65.
  10. I was banded December 30, 2011. I'm down 67 pounds. I'm wondering how my fellow December 2011 bandsters are doing.
  11. For whatever reason this has been an issue for me lately. I've been banded 14 months and I'd say in the last month and a half this has been a problem.
  12. When I had my gall bladder issues I had pain from the center of my chest that traveled to the middle of my back. I was unable to get comfortable. It would start 30 min to an hour after eating and last about 2 hours, towards the end the longest attack was about 10 hours. I had blood work that showed my liver enzymes were elevated which then prompted an ultrasound on my liver, gall bladder and my pancreas. Gall Stones.... since my surgery no more pain after eating. There was no rhyme or reason to my pain, sometimes after eating a yogart, sometimes salad, really anyfood but sometimes I'd eat yogart with no symptoms. Good luck.
  13. I also gurgle. Not a whole lot but I find I gurgle more when I think I may have eaten too much. I've just considered it part of being banded so gurgle away I say.

  15. How wonderful for you! Great job.
  16. Thank you! This year was harder through the holidays than last. Last Christmas I was on my liquid diet and even though there was all kinds of goodies, it was the only time they didn't "call to me" and I think because I knew I was getting banded. This Christmas was a different story and my weight has yo yo'd this holiday. The elipical did get moved back into the house so I will start using it again!
  17. Today is my one year anniversary of being banded. I could not be happier. It's been quite a year. Today I am down 66 pounds. For year two I vow to stay connected to this site and hit my goal weight. I'd like to hear from anyone else who was banded December 2011 to see how you are doing.
  18. I eat string cheese with no problems.
  19. I had my gall bladder removed 9 months after being banded.
  20. I had my gall bladder out in September (Friday the 21st to be exact). Saturday I took it easy, by Sunday I was doing almost everything I had done before surgery. I took a week off but realistically could have gone back to work by Monday/Tuesday. I had no problems.
  21. Thank you everyone for your support and words.
