  1. Great read!!! I will write about my day soon. It truly was life changing!!! Glad your experience was a good one too
  2. Hello All, I was sleeved 12/20. Besides the occasional gas bubble, I am doing great. Gonna try not to weigh until my post op visit next Weds. For now I am just sipping and walking and walking and sipping.
  3. WOW....my last class my orders said RNY...I was like WTF??? But Im glad I noticed before I signed off on it....I dont think it will effect anything, it should be listed other places in your records that you are having sleeve. I will be thinking of you Chica...on our big day
  4. I so need this right now...I go in tomorrow and my nerves are getting to me....Thanks so much for sharing
  5. Whoooo Whooo!! Congrats, Im right behind you tomorrow as well...
  6. Thanks again everyone, I'm getting antsy!!! Favored I am praying for you today!!
  7. Thanks Everyone!!!! Yayyyy Jasleeve!!
  8. Those reactions are the main reason I havent told anyone but my mom and daughter and my bff who has had the lap band. It took me too long to make up my mind about this surgery for me to listen to any nay sayers. Be strong!!
  9. Congrats Favored....Mine is Tuesday!!! So happy for you
  10. I had my test Tuesday and I was told I was Vit D deficient...I got a rx for a 6wk supply (to be taken once a week)...and it didnt affect my surgery date...Im still being sleeved TUESDAY You got this!!
  11. I will be sleeved December 20th!!! It's been a long time coming & I am so happy. I initially was told I would have it on the 13th, so I started my liquids but was told to come off until the 10th...fine with me! Lol I am trying not to run out & buy a scale until I am at least 2 weeks post op. I don't wanna get into the habit of weighing everyday.
  12. Hello, I remember seeing a thread in the past about this....if anyone knows where it is, and wouldnt mind posting it here, I'd appreciate it. If not, I have my appt with the surgeon on Weds, and I need to know what I should ask....I do have my own list of questions already, I just want to make sure I am not leaving anything out....Thanks for your help.
  13. I finally had the "talk" with my mom. She took it a lot better than I expected, she was actually ELATED...now I'm all weirded out....it was like that awkward moment when you find out your mom thinks youre really fat *tears* lol
  14. Have you thought of maybe blending the veggies or maybe doing a V-8? I know you need to stick with the plan but you also have to be healthy for surgery. I am sending positive thoughts your way and hoping you feel much better soon.
  15. Be encouraged, think about next year this time when you guys get together & how great you will look!
  16. I don't have my date yet, but I'm hoping before the end of November....I noticed you are from Chicago too, cool! Where are you having your surgery?
  17. Does slightly elevated blood glucose mean diabetic? No, it means slightly elevated blood gluclose, possibly pre-diabetic. I am sorry that you have these ailments, but like your coordinator said, good thing you are having the surgery because you can definitely reverse all these things. From what I hear, its common to have the gallbladder removed before wls, so I wouldnt worry about that at all. Stay positive, everything is gonna work out.
  18. So far, I have only told my 2 bffs, one of which is on her way to band to sleeve revision....and my daughter.....I havent even told my mom yet....she tends to be so freaking negative with everything that I just may wait until the day of surgery lol
  19. You can do it!!!! Please remind me of this when I start my pre-op liquid diet...thanks lol
  20. Ivy, When you get the urge, try taking some really deep breaths and holding them for like 5-10 secs then exhaling. It knocks the urge off. You will need to do this several times a day. Also, walking or doing jumping jacks when that urge hits helps me. Not doing high reps, but just maybe 10 or so...keep up the good work.
