  1. Hey Guys, There was a wls prayer posted here a while ago, maybe almost 2 years...I have searched for it and can't seem to find it. I would love to share it with my sister who is have vsg this coming Wednesday....if anyone is familiar with it or has it please share it....thanks!!
  2. I gain and lose the same damn 4-5 pounds every month....especially during my period.....
  3. I'm great! My surgery was actually 10/24 so that's more than 2 weeks ago....initially I had the gas just like with sleeve removal, then I had diarrhea but it's common after removal...sorry if that's tmi lol...but my system has stabilized now so I'm all good! Thanks for asking
  4. True! My severe pain came from stones poking my liver & pancreas, so I was really hurting. He didn't tell me how bad it was until after he had taken it out so even after X-rays, ultrasounds & an MRI they couldn't tell the severity until they removed it.
  5. My surgeon, same who did my sleeve, said my gallbladder looked like a bag of marbles....it was completely stoned. I didn't have pain long, started on Thursday & I was hospitalized on Friday. It was unbearable. I can't imagine just treating with meds. I'd suggest just getting it out to avoid future attacks or more stones. I was back at work after a week.
  6. Before....327 pounds After......232 pounds Currently 224 pounds!! Surgery date 12/20/11
  7. I just had mine taken out about 2 weeks ago...I was sleeved in December. Stay away from greasy, fatty and fried foods... Eat clean! Baked, grilled or broiled!
  8. Its probably gas...did your dr put you on prevacid or another similar med? If not you may want to try an over the counter kind....being sleeved just 5 days ago you still are dealing with a lot of trapped gas....but check with your dr to see what he says....
  9. Have you been getting your water in??
  10. Almost 11 months out and over 100 pounds down....I have come off all my blood pressure meds, I have a clean bill of health and regained my self-confidence and I am able to run again and I haven't been able to do that since high school....even if I did have to drink a protein shake every day, it would damn sure be worth it!! I don't drink them daily but at least once or twice a week....the fact is after surgery you are protein deficient and if drinking a shake every now and then compensates for all the other rewards then so be it....please don't let that discourage you!!
  11. I had such a bad time in the recovery room after surgery, but felt great the next day....to the point I was wondering if they really did the surgery on me lol other than being a lil weak occasionally I had no issues!
  12. Thanks so much everyone, I appreciate your kind words & encouragement this is the best thing I've ever done. Being able to go thru a day without any aches & pains is priceless. I'm so happy!!
  13. Hey we almost have the same name lol...thanks
  14. Thank you everyone....and you guys are doing awesome!!!
