Well they are not low in south florida for sure lol. I know I have lost a lot of people and its sad. Its not always great health that keeps you living. Yes I know about small cell lung cancer. Its hard to cure but not impossible. Most people are lucky to get 6 to 12 months I will say a prayer for your cousin. I do believe in miracles.

Thanks for sharing- I had wondered what to do in this case. Thankfully I have had it happen and don't want it to, but figure it will happen at some point.

Being dealing with the same thing all weekend and the pat two days! I took phenegren that my doc prescribed after surgery and that took away the nausea and needing to throw up! Other end hasn't faired as well! Lol

This is precisely what I'm planning to do. I have "nice" designer plus sized clothing; no way am I just going to give it away. And where I live (France) there's a good market for this, since so few women here are plus sized...the ones that are really appreciate being able to find nice things.
Funny ebay story, also: my sister lost 150 lbs (sadly through illness, not diet) and ebayed loads of items, including her old bras. OLD BRAS! Some wierdo dude bought them and gave her an A+ rating for the transaction.

Why in the world would someone even wish that another person couldnt sleep. They should come look at the pathetic patients I take care of every single day and then say that to someone else. I know we all get in a beef once in a while here but I would never wish someone bad or harm just for the sake of not agreeing with them.

Thank you for doing your wonderful job. I thank the people at my mother's nursing home all the time. she has dementia but knows her 3 children. She knows the faces of her grandsons but not their names. She sometimes remembers my father and they were married for 67 years when he died. My mother will be 95 in July and my oldest brother and I wish she would just close her eyes. Enough is enough. There should be a pill.

Im gonna say this. All medicare is not earned by people. Some on disability are not disabled they abuse the system, pretend they are crazy and live off of disability and medicare for free and havent worked a damn day in their life. So no not all medicare is earned. How many women that I have known who got kicked off welfare after two years decided their kid is crazy and gets ssi disability so her dumb ass wont have to go to work but continue to get a check so she can keep her lazy ass home. I also think that medicaid should not pay for lapband surgery at our expense. My insurance does not pay for anything bariatric not even fills. I had other insurance when I got my surgery that paid for the surgery except for 1,000 dollars I put out of pocket so no I get nothing now to help with fills excetera. If you are disabled and get medicare and are truly disabled that is one thing but so many people suck the system. I see everyday women in the grocery store buying junk and paying with a food stamp card. I think all of their food should be monitored and cookies and junk food should not be able to be paid for with food stamps. Hell yes it pisses me off. If you are disabled because you are obese, have surgery and you can now work then get off the system and go to work and put in your fair share. Desk jobs do not require any physical things. I work 12 hour long shifts at the hospital have arthritis in both knees and in both hips and even with drastic weight loss I go to work in pain every single day. So yes it pisses me off that the government pays for surgery. Off my soap box now.

I eat all of them. But in much smaller quantity than I ever did. I would go out for dinner and eat a basket of bread and ask for more. I now only have a small portion and it makes me happy. For lunch I had mashed potatoes but since there was skin on them I had maybe 2-3 forkfuls. I was satisfied with that small amount. I see my doctor for fill and dietitian on Friday. A new dietitian for me.

my nut advised me to eat items (all) in portions.....but after the band and realizing protein filled me up and made me not eat as much (and kudo's for my band helping me also) i choose now to not eat un filling foods like rice/pasta/bread/potatos. i eat lean meats/fruit/veggies which fill me up. it works for me. good post.

Yes they do make us crave sugar terribly that is why I stay clear of them.

I totally get it. After 4 weeks post-op I don't crave the starches anymore. I didn't realize how much I ate. Even though it was whole grains I would eat toast in the morning, a sandwich at lunch and pasta at dinner and wonder why I would crave a cookie later or between meals.

I have a great ebay story for you. My son's friend use to work in Boston and would go to Filene's Basement, it was a famous mark down department store every day during lunch. He would buy 100 pairs of designer jeans, fur coats etc. and almost never lost money. He would make about $5000. a month from this. My son would go clothes shopping in his closet and spend 1-2 hours in there it was so big. I need to use ebay for a lot of stuff. Thanks for the idea.
