  1. Its not about feeling full. Its about feeling satisfied. You have to know that now we are not supposed to be full. We are supposed to be satisfied.
  2. Get some fruit punch and apple juice mix half apple juice half fruit punch and put in the microwave once hot place a tea bag in it. This will help. It's called toot juice.
  3. I didnt say you were a liar I said something isnt right. There is a big difference. Your not eating right if you're only eating once a day. That is not right. How can your body lose weight if you're not feeding it. I never called you a liar I said something is not right that is all I said
  4. He said he didnt follow his doctors instructions of liquids that is what he said
  5. I believe that all of you are very uneducated about your bands. You're not following instructions or not given any. There is no way that you can not lose weight if you are following the plan. It's the holidays and I think you all have gone off the wagon or something. You are the fourth person posted today about no weight loss. I am still losing after three years because I follow instructions. If you didnt get any then by all means call your doctor and get them. We cant help you if you're not being honest.
  6. Well something is not right. You are either not following your plan or your eating the wrong things. There is no way that you can not lose weight with the band especially at 9 cc's full. Something isnt right and you're not telling the whole story.
  7. First of all why are none of you listening to your doctors. This is exactly why you will be crying that you failed. You are not supposed to eat solids after a fill because of swelling. I do not understand why people have weight loss surgery and do as they want too. It can take several weeks to feel the full effect of a fill. Stop doing as you please and follow your doctors advice.
  8. I eat between 900 and 1100 depending on how hungry I am but I eat frequently because my blood sugar drops fast.
  9. I do not believe in starvation mode either. You body has no choice to eventually lose the fat. Yes you can eat more frequently to get in the calories if you are lacking food intake. It isnt perfect science but if your not eating enough then eating more frequently will help. Choose protein snacks not fruit. Fat free cheeses, laughing cow cheese. Cottage cheese, tuna, chicken salad. I mean dont go over board but protein is the key to successful weight loss.
  10. Well not many lose all this weight without fills. Why are you regretting it now? Apparently your decision was not thought through very much. We all got the band because we failed at dieting. We dont diet with the band. Six weeks is not going to make you lose hundreds of pounds. Its a process. Is today pity party day or is everyone pmsing. It takes work its not a miracle drug. Its not magic. However it does do what its supposed to do if you let it.
  11. I agree tmf. Greek yogurt is fine for more seasoned bandsters but not new ones. Its full of sugar. I would say you need to learn to eat real food with your band. Not the stuff you are eating. You should be focusing on protein first then other stuff if you have room. That is the problem with people they want to depend on slider foods instead of learning to eat real food with their band. You will find yourself more satisfied with real food if you would eat it.
  12. Well liquid calories are not the answer. Your nutritionist apparently needs more education in nutrition. I think most doctors do not approve of protein shakes months after surgery. Even at breakfast you can surely eat greek yogurt. If you are having issues eating enough calories then eat more often.
  13. That is totally up to your surgeon. Everyone is different. No one has had the same preop as the other. You just have to ask your particular surgeon what they expect you to do.
  14. Protein drinks are not your answer. You should not be consuming liquid calories after your six weeks you need to learn how to eat with your band and not depend on protein shakes. Liquid calories do not keep you full. You can surely eat enough protein to get enough in without resorting to shakes.
  15. Well the biggest issue you have is that you are full of anger which stress causes no weight loss. There are many people out there that do not lose right off the bat. It takes time and if this early in the game you are so angry over only losing 27lbs then what will happen when you hit a plateu that may last for months. I spent almost a year with no weight loss but I never gave up. If you are so angry you need to rethink what you are doing and get off the pity bus and move forward. Getting fills is not going to make you lose weight it will just help with hunger. If you don't stop stressing then you wont lose weight.
  16. Well my suggestion would be for now stop the greek yogurt because of the sugar and the lean cuisine because of the carbs and concentrate on protein. The only carbs should be vegetables. If you up your protein which I dont think you're getting enough of you may see a difference. I would try to go without the starchy carbs and processed foods. They really are not good for you in the beginning. Try eggs for breakfast instead of the greek yogurt. You can make an awesome veggie omelet with fat free cheese. Try other things for lunch like tuna or chicken salad. Dinner some kind of meat and veggies. Right now your concentration should be on getting in more protein which I think is the problem
  17. Yes what are you eating and how much? That is the key to success. We cant help you if we dont know what it is you are eating. Patience is needed with this also. It doesnt always happen overnight.
  18. I am three years out in two days. Was the best decision I have made and have been very successful. Just follow the rules and no cheating until you can handle it. I still do not eat fast food or junk. To much good food out there to bother with that crap anymore. I love my new life and the new me.
  19. Yes food is no longer a wanted habit for me either. Could care less about food now. I used to eat two dunkin doughnut cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I think they are both six hundred calories a piece so I got my whole days calories in one meal. Makes me sad that I loved food like that.
  20. Congrats to both of you. You are doing well. The bloating is your signal that you are full. Drink lots of fluids you will do great.
  21. I eat the quaker oats weight control oatmeal. It does keep me fuller longer. Takes only 45 seconds in the microwave. Carbs in the morning are not bad because you have time to burn them off. I think it has 7 grams of protein in it so you will be getting some protein early in the morning. Just make it thinner you should have no problems. I also eat greek yogurt too. 14 grams of protein and no fat in that.
