  1. Sorry, I hope I never get stuck, sounds painful, glad you were able to get it up. What makes you get stuck?
  2. Congrats glad everything went well, I think the picture is cool. I posted mine in my gallery. I also got the card and applied for the permanent one. My doc signed the one he gave me on my post-op visit, awaiting the other in the mail. Congrats on the weight lost so far. Goodluck starting your journey and welcome to the other side.
  3. Glad to hear you are doing well, almost 2 weeks out and still tired. Starting to think its from not having real food, I'm weak. Good luck on your journey.
  4. Got in 1/2 of protein shake and 1/2 bottle of water in so far. I start mushies, very happy about that. Back to work on sunday I work 12 hrs shifts standing I'm scared can hardly stand 2 hrs much less 12 hrs. Tryin to get into an exercise routine mostly walking to get prepared. Scars are healing well no leakage or redness. To those banded: How often are you getting on the scale? I figure I will weigh in once a week just to see if I have progressed. The scale has not been my friend in the past so kinda skeptical about it now.
  5. I was totally naked under my gown
  6. Good luck prqaying that all goes well tomorrow see you on the other side.
  7. On my surgery date the scale went up 7lbs, I did go to an all u can eat buffet the week before. who figures? but I'm banded now and have lost it back so Im all good. My doc was not concerned and surgery went well. Good luck.
  8. Yes, you are not alone I'm getting about 6 oz of protein shake a day. My doc said its ok dont force it.
  9. Mizpk83 Thanks, Yes I was there thought you looked familiar, small world isn't it.
  10. Judych1946 Have confidence in yourself, you have a lot of support here. Although, I'm not sure I will lose the weight and keep it off, I can say I tried. There are no guarantees with any weight loss program, but with a lot of support I believe that its possible. Remember people are always gonna talk, we are here for you. Be excited about this change in your life and let no one take it from you. Be positive, we all have doubts over if this will work or not so you are not alone. Its our time to feel happy and confident. You can do this, just stay focused.
  11. I am 8 lbs down in 10 days, loving my band. Still not hungry, feeling 80% better today.
  12. Having the same problem, taking in a small amount fluids and 1/2 cup of solids. To full for anything else.
  13. Found out today that I can have KFC mashed potatoes, ran straight to KFC lol, I was hungry but bored of the liquids. Trying to increase my water intake, been slacking on that end. Follow up tomorrow at 0930 will keep ev1 posted on my weight loss. I can really see/feel a difference in my clothing. My family says I look amazing. I am so glad I started this journey. Goodluck all March bandsters we can do this.
  14. Thanks, will see if I can have potatoes and grits that would help.
  15. Can't wait to got to mushies, the thought of these full liquids are starting to make me gag. No more broth or jello, gonna try liquid drinks/juices only, dont want to start dryheaving. This is discouraging guess my stomach is starting to heal., will call physician tomorrow to see if he has suggestions. Any advice on full liquid choices?
  16. Body fortress is good from wal-mart.
  17. Yes, I dealt with it and I came out fine. Surgery was March 2,2012 once they gave me the cocktail, I was out when I woke up I was in recovery. I was so scared of all of those things. But what happens if u don't have the surgery? Remain optimistic and pray. It's practically normal to have fear. Praying for a safe surgery for you. Stay focused and know that you are doing the right thing for you. It will all work out. Good luck.
  18. Congrats, keep up the good work. That is so wonderful, hope I'm as successful.
  19. Yes, think about how wonderful you are going to look when this is all done. That was my motivation on my pre-op. You have come this far, you can do this, stay focused. Find things to occupy your time.
  20. I get my first fill on March 30.
  21. Big congrats, I have not weighed since surgery. Holding off til post-op appointment on Tues. Surgery was March 2.
  22. Post-op day 6 for me and I can tell you that its better, slowly but surely. I am not running a marathon though, I did notice that I feel good in the morning and bad in afternoon, kinda weird. Hope all in going well fellow march bandsters.
  23. Goodluck all being banded in the morning. Praying for a speedy recvery 4 u all. The pain meds are awesome.
  24. Mine was outpatient but turn inpatient after I could not hold anything down. Stayed in hospital 2 days which was ok due to it was a friday and wht if something like that happened and I was home. Im glad they kept me.
