  1. Thank you!!!! That's why I love this site. People are so supportive. Thanks again..
  2. I have lost 61lbs since surgery Sept 28th,2010. I'm happy with that. What I'm not happy about is I have been 219 since Feb 19th. I went to very high Protein and very low carbs even good carbs(Beans ect) for a week and still nothing. I think to be honest the last 5 months have spoiled me. I have honestly lost 61lbs without trying to hard. I have also had a lot more happy hours in the month of Feb so I'm thinking alcohol might be contributing to my stall. I know I need to start an exercise program, I always have an excuse being a single mom commuting 60 miles one way to work at a job I am losing next month. I love reading these posts they are helping me to motivate mysefl, so thank you. Wish me luck!!
  3. I am almost 14 weeks out. I have told everyone and even posted it on my Facebook. I did this for me. In April 2010 I was 307. I lost 27 lbs before surgery. Day of surgery 280.4 Sept 28th, 2010. Today 1/1/11 I weight 233. The surgery has changed my life. When I lost the first 27 lbs so many people said keep doing it by yourself, on your own. Stats show people who lose weight don't keep it off. I was ready to do it for good. My insurance paid because my BMI was 55%. Good luck this website was like a bible to me. Best wishes!!
  4. I've lost 40lbs in 10 weeks. I told everyone I was sleeved. My co-workers tell me all the time how much they notice it. My family is different because my Dad died of anorexia so they are afraid to tell me I look good cause they dont want me to stop eating like he did. I do use "my doctor says everything looks great" when I get the concerned "Don't get to skinny". I also don't think people are trying to be rude, just caring.
  5. I just got home from a Vegas trip on Saturday. Yesterday I was 8 weeks out. My friends said I'm not as fun to eat with, as they were drinking and eating, tons of food, but not once did I wish I could eat like that. I was the DD for the first time ever. I also walked more than I had in years and felt great. Have a blast. I did!!
  6. I haven't lost a pound since Oct 25. I did lose 30lbs first month so my doctor said its normal for a stall. I am losing inches but the scale not moving is very frustrating!! I am so ready to see the scale move again!!
  7. I'll be 6 weeks out on Tuesday and I still don't feel like eating. I can barely get in 40 oz of Water. Today: Breakfast: Choc Whey Protein powder/Skim milk/ice and 2 tbsp Peanut Butter Lunch: 2.5 oz Tuna cup Dinner: 2 oz meatball/ 1 oz mashed potatos/ 1 oz shredded cheese This is me making myself eat. I would like to know when do you actually feel like eating again. Nothing seems to taste the same.
  8. I had my surgery Sept 28th and I did pass out. My doctor said I wasn't getting in 64 oz of water and he was right. I get so full when I drink, but I did it and felt so much stronger. I didn't like protein shakes either. But I found a Chocolate Whey Protein Powder I put 1 scoop, water, ice and 2 tbsp peanut butter and mix it in my magic bullet it honestly tastes greats. I went to a Chineese resturant and got won ton soup. I put it in my magic bullet and pureed it. It tasted so good and had lots of protein. Good Luck!!
  9. I'm 5 weeks tomorrow, but I haven't tried sweets yet. I still have to make myself eat and drink. I'm afraid I'm not eating enough and your afraid your eating to much. It's so weird how different we are all. I am currently averaging 600-800 cal per day and measure all my food so I don't have to throw to much away. The first few weeks I was throwing lots of food away. I think I am learning slowly how to eat. Keep us posted on what the doctor says.
  10. I am 5 weeks tomorrow. I was using 25 g 100% Whey Choc protein. I put 1 scoop protein powder,2 tbsp peanut butter and 2 oz skim milk the rest ice. Throw it in my Magic Bullet and it tastes like a milk shake. I tried GNC Protein bullet fruit punch, so gross. I'm, looking for receipt now I spent $40.00 on 12. The last week or so I have been getting my protein through my food.
  11. I'm on day 29 and I wasn't able to get enough protein or water in. I passed out in the shower. I went to the doctor who told me I was dehydrated and he gave me 5 days to get in 60 oz of water per day or they would admit me and IV me. My problem is I get so full when I drink that I don't want to eat. Doctor told me to consentrate on fluids for a week. It will be a week tomorrow and I feel so much better. Not getting in 60 still but much closer. I keep hearing it gets better and it is for me.
  12. I am in the Modesto area and had my sleeve done at the Fresno Kaiser. I am 29 days out. I am learning as I go but would be glad to tell you how my journey is going. If you want to talk, message me.
  13. I am 22 days out and I went to Applebee's with some girlfriends. I got a bowl of chili and had maybe 5 bites during an hour. It went down fine I was so excited. The next day my sister asked me if she could bring me something for lunch. I said sure a small chili. It made me feel awful. So heavy and greasy. Now I don't want chili anymore. I think I need to go back to liquids for a day or two.
  14. I told everyone. I even posted it on my Facebook. This was about me. I never wanted anyone to think how did you do it ask me for advise and me not tell them exactly how I did it. I tell anyone who wants to hear I did my 1200 calories, then 800, then had surgery. I told them I had to lose the first 30lbs before they would even do surgery. I don't mind if people talk or not this was never about anyone else. This has always been about me getting my health and body back to a place where I feel healthy and secure. I have had the you're losing so much weight why don't you just do it on your own. I let them know I'm giving myself my second chance. More so than not my co-workers, friends, bosses and framily have been so supportive. I was just sleeved Sept 28th and have never had so many emails, texts amd posts asking how I am. I realize they may be talking behind my back, but again I know how people are so I don't care.

I had my first 2 oz of applesauce yesterday, took 1/2 hour to eat it it filled me up. I am ready to add egg and cottege cheese. I mix my Choc Whey protein with ice and water. Still not drinking enough and I know not getting my protein in. Really need to add mushies. Tiff Help!!!!!!!!
