  1. My Daughter and I tried the Target brand adult gummy Vitamins, and they actually taste pretty good.
  2. Congrats on your surgery date... Where are you having your surgery done at? I go to Murfreesboro all the time to the VA. Good luck on your surgery, and keep us posted.
  3. Great news, I found the B12 sublingual, I started laughing right there in the store, I know the people thought I was crazy, which they are right I am. lol THey were there the whole time. lol Thanks for helping me find them.
  4. Tiffykins, Thanks that will help me out alot. Can you believe I went to Walmart today just for the B12 , and totally forgot. lol I just don't know where my mind is , not here that is for sure. Once again thank you, now I know exactly what to look for. They can't hide from me anymore. lol
  5. Great pictures. What a cute couple. I definitely could see the difference. Keep up the good work.
  6. Chantae , I think we have all been in your shoes, and I still am in your shoes. I thought the same thing about the one child thing. I was in labor for 5 days, so it can not be any worse than that. I am also worried about my hair, that is my biggest fear. As far as emotions, I'm more excited, and happy, I think the scared and worried emotions have come and gone. Good luck with your surgery on September 7th, keep us posted. Patticakec Welcome, and I hope you find your answers. You have come to the right place. There alot of friendly people on here that will be able to answer most of your questions, and if they can not they are always willing to listen to you.
  7. Thanks I'm going to go look for them again today, maybe they will jump out at me today. lol I even had my mom look for them, and she can not find them neither. Probably right in front of my eyes, and I just don't see them. I'm telling you they are playing hide and seek with me. lol Wish me luck today. I will find them today. lol:thumbup:
  8. I'm so confused, but I guess I have some time to figure it out before my surgery.
  9. Are the sublingual B12 by the regular b12 vitamins? I have been looking for them, but they are doing a pretty good job hiding from me.
  10. :lol0: sorry to laugh, but the last part of your post was just too funny. lol I feel like that now, and say I feel like my grandmother with her pill box which I used to make fun of her for when I was younger. lol Good question though, wish I could answer, but I can't, but I also need to know this, as the pill (Ritilin) I take for my narcolepsy, the one I need to be able to stay awake all day and drive, I don't even know if I can crush it or what, good question to ask Friday when I go to the see the surgeon. Thanks for reminding me. I hope things get better for you Blackberryjuice.
  11. I agree with you Janex, . My main reason I'm going to be having the surgery is so that I am no longer a time bomb for a heart attack, don't develope diabetes, hopefully get rid of this sleep apnea, and take care of my many other health problems that are related to my overweight. Sure I would be lieing if I said the thought of being thinner does not excite me, but the thought of being able to play tennis, going hiking, being able to ride a roller coaster, and do many other activities with my daughter, all that is the main reason I'm getting sleeved and I get extremely excited thinking about. She is talking about us going white Water rafting or something crazy like that next summer, and to hear the excitement in her voice that is what this is all about.
  12. Sorry I was at work when I posted that last post and did not have the bottle in front of me I take 5000mcg daily
  13. I started taking biotin for almost a year now. I stopped for a couple of months, but have been back on it strong since June. I also take prenatal vitamins, they told that would help with the hair too. Whether or not that is right I have not idea, but I take them anyway. lol
  14. I'm single, and my mom is always saying after my surgery I may want to start dating. I tell her I doubt it, if a guy does not like me now because I'm over weight, I will not give him the time of day when I'm thinner. Plus I can not wait to become thin and see my exhusband who left me because of my weight, and flant myself in front of him, and then tell him where he can go. JERK I agree with mini-me, why should we be treated any less because we are over weight. I say they are the shallow ones, and we maybe come thin, but I think we will all treat overweight people like everyone else because we have been there. I can say from personal experience that when I was younger and thin, I did treat overweight people different, and I was a very shallow person, and I guess you can say maybe the Lord made me this way for a reason, because with the weight gain, I became a good person on the inside, and now I feel what all those people I made fun in high school felt, because they were over weight. I hope this made sense. lol
  15. Good luck, you will be fine. You will be in my thoughts and in my prayers. We will be waiting to hear from you, and how you are doing.
  16. Lillie Thanks, I just could not figure out why they require me to get the ultra sound and the other surgeon did not.
  17. I'm going for a consult next Friday, and they want me to havea ultra sound of my gallbladder, before I go. Has anyone else had to do this, and does anyone know why. My ex surgeon did not make me do this?
  18. GOOD NEWS, and more GOOD NEWS My mom is going to be able to drive me, and I talked to the nurse this afternoon at Hunington, and she told me that I need to get a ultra sound of my gallbladder, and if everything is okay, that when I'm there next Friday they will send me to the anesthesiologist, and do the preop for my surgery and they would be scheduling my surgery for next month. I'm still not getting my hopes up until I am being wheeled in to surgery. I have gotten my hopes up one to many times on this journey.
  19. Man, I totally understand how you are feeling. I have working on this for a year now. Keep the faith, you will get your date soon. Just think you are closer now then you were when you first started. I know it is hard to not get discouraged, man do I know, but just keep thinking you are almost there, you are almost there. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  20. Okay most you probably are very familiar with my story. I was suppose to have surgery August 24th (I'm going through the VA), and have been working on my surgery since last October. Well when they sent in for my final approval VA denied, it and said I had to go to a VA Hospital to have it done, okay that was like almost a month ago. So here is the update. I called Hunington VA, about three times last week and twice this week left several messages, but no return calls. Then Monday I called my VA Doc, and left a message for her to call me and still no call. Well this morning I called again was leaving another message for my doc, and finally found out I have a consultation in Hunington next Friday. Good news I know, but man if I had not of called, called, and called some more I would never even known about it, they have not called me or sent me anything saying I had a consult. The good news is the nurse told me if all my paperwork checks out and I loose 10lbs they will schedule me well I have only lost 4 lbs, but lost 10 lbs since June so I'm hoping they will accept that weight loss. Of course I'm not getting my hopes up as when I do, something always happens. The bad news is I may have to drive myself, which is not good because I have narcolepsy, and am not suppose to drive long distance by myself. My mom may be able to drive me if my dad will allows her to miss his bicycle race, (real important, NOT), I see were I rate in the family. They would rather me either reschedule which is out of the question, or take a risk and drive by myself. I feel so loved. lol Maybe she will get permission to drive me. Please get permission why don't she just tell him I have an important appointment, and that she really needs to take me, no that would be asking to much. I'm sure my dad wont have a problem, but just the thought of the whole situation really makes me mad  . They know how much this means to me and knows what all I have gone through. Sorry for the rant, but I have mixed emotions right now, I'm happy, nervous, mad, hurt and hungry. I will keep you posted. Thanks for listening , or shall I say reading .
  21. I'm so glad they did not postpone your surgery. I'm so happy for you. Take care and keep us posted. I have been worried about you, but I can see now you are doing well. Thank goodness.
  22. mmk I'm sorry it was a Dr. Dyer I was talking about at Centennial, not Dr. Lynch. Sorry about the mistake. Welcome to the site, anyway, lol
  23. Blackberryjuice You stay strong, and don't worry about your dad. You need that energy to get better. I would take it you are an adult correct, so even if your dad shows up there you stick up for yourself, and do what you want, not what he wants. I know it is very hard for you I could not even imagine having to go through that. I'm so so sorry. It is stressful enough just to go through the surgery, but to have to deal with being sick, and then your dad too. You just remember this is for you not him, it is your body, and you need to make this decission for yourself, which you already have. Stay strong girl, we are all here for you. Work on getting rid of that virus, okay. Please keep us posted, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
  24. Welcome MMK. I'm from Lawrenceburg, TN, and everyone i know that has had WLS all had the bypass went to Centennial (that is where Dr. Lynch is from I believe I heard someone mention his name at my support group), and had nothing but good things to say. I was suppose to go to Vanderbilt, but I ran into a road block, I'm trying to cross over now. Good luck on your surgery, and let me tell you this site is awesome, you will learn alot on here. I know I have. Keep us posted.
  25. Katt, That is great.:blushing: It make me so excited to get my sleeve. I have been buying size 20, 18, 16, and 14 when I see them a yard sales for $1.00 or less. It is hard for me to buy size 14 because I can not picture myself that small, but I can't help it pluse my mom gave a bunch of her size 14's as she has her weight has been a yo-yo for years also. Maybe I will get news today from the VA, matter fact I'm going to call her shortly when they open to see if the nurse has heard anything. Wish me or luck or better yet say a prayer for me.
