  2. I fly all of the time and i don't have any problems with the band's restriction and what not, but i beeped one time going through security. When they checked me with the long black stick thingy, it went crazy at my port... lol
  3. I had my surgery at TLBC January 25th 2007 and the staff was great . You'll be fine and they'll take care of you, don't worry. This is the best decision of your life- getting the band.
  4. I use to be able to smother my foods with spicyness... now i can't have any spicy at all!
  5. Has anyone made a rule to not eat after a certain time.. like 7PM? And if so, does it help or what is its purpose...?

  8. with your first fill you won't feel a difference to tell you the truth... i say enjoy the last huge meals of the next few years of your life eat!!!!!!!! no need to feel pain from being hungry. bc eventually you will start feeling pain from eating( some what lol).. so while you can eat and swallow normally without thinking about throwing up 30 seconds later from eating a dry food or not chewing enough or having too much of a fill... ENJOY IT
  9. Hey, i had the surgery done in January and before then i could enjoy extremely spicy foods... now i find that i can't handle it at all! Can anyone else relate, or is it just me? lol :sick
  10. no bubbles! if you're getting the band you're going to have to make sacrifices.. it's not easy at all. you have to give up pop and anything carbonated.
  11. it's different for everyone... what they can swallow and what not. your band should be slightly uncomfortable i think.... as soon as i get comfortable with my fill level, i get a quarter fill. if i can eat my meal without having to take a hell of a long time and not have trouble swallowing my food at least once.. i feel as though i need more of a fill. that is how i am managing to lose weight. it works
  12. lol yup . i excercise 3 times a week and eat healthy foods. i find that i get grossed out by looking at french fries and fatty foods now- which is a good thing! as i lose more weight i find that it's a lot harder to lose the pounds, so i have to work harder through excercise or meal planning. how have you lost your weight? any tricks? please share
  13. I started out eating a burger after a week... lol bad decision but i was really hungry. i'm doing great now though... after you adapt to your fills you tend to make better choices!!
  14. After you get filled a few times, you'll be good! don't worry.
  15. I lose about 10 pounds a month... i hope it stays that way.
  16. it's going to be the same until you get filled a few times... no difference at all. you just got the band so it will take some time to adjust to it... but that's after your fills.. so right now just try your best to not pack on more pounds because whatever you gain right now you're going to have to lose.
  17. weird.. my surgeons told me so.. lol i guess only Canada then.. thanks for helping me! i went to the hospital, they hooked me up to an iv and i slept there for the night... 2 doctors tried to reach my port.. but they sucked and couldn't do it... so in the morning my surgeon came to the hospital and unfilled me .5cc and i feel so much better thanks again!
