  1. I am 3 days pre surgery (banded plication) and I confirmed last night that if all you put in is liquid all you will get out is liquid HA! My surgeon sells and reccomends Chike brand protein shakes. Being a former weight lifter I can tell you that the Chike is a really good tasting protein shake. It has 28 grams of protein when mixed with water not sure on the carbs.
  2. My doctor explained that the Plication will provide immediate weight loss that the band often times does not provide. Having the plication should reduce the number of needed fills. In addition, he said that having the plication done should actually greatly reduce the risk of band slippage. I believe that they are actually seeing immediate weight loss with this surgery comparable to Gastric Bypass.
  3. Nice! are you getting plication as well or just band?
  4. I am scheduled for next week for the banded plication surgery are there any others who have had this procedure done? What was recovery like? Glad you went with the combination surgery?
  5. After years of jumping through hoops I am finally going to have the Lap Band surgery! I am scheduled for nex Tuesday July 26, 2011!!!! After discussing with my surgeon's PA I have decided to have the plication done as well. Maybe I should be nervous but I'm not I am just ready to get it done!
