  3. I am also a food addict! I have not been sleeved yet but am hoping the sleeve in assist in helping me to now allow me to turn to food when I'm bored or upset. I'm hoping it helps to push me to exercise or turn my emotions in another direction other than food.
  4. Glad yours went well! I had mine and don't get me wrong the lady was nice but all she did was read from a paper. Most of the information I already knew from the forum but I couldn't believe insurance would pay for it. Now I have 2 more she said we will go over vitamins and protein powders in the next tow. Hopefully she doesn't read from a paper or I'll lose my mind
  5. Can't anyone else at the office send over the info to the insurance company?? That is crazy see if you can talk to the office manager. Someone should be able to help you
  6. For me it will take a total of 3 months before surgery depending on your insurance and doctor

  9. What flavors are the best? i have been looking to start stocking up
  10. I had the same problem! I called every day! my PCP took 6 weeks before they sent the letter. it took for me to finally go in the office and get the letter my self! I hope you do not have this problem!
  11. I was able to bring my fan. just call an confirm that you can. they want you to be as comfortable as possible so you go into a deep sleep where the test is most accurate. The wires are pretty long. i am a stomach sleeper and had to adjust to my side. i woke up a little tangled but the tech. helps un-tangle me and even had to come in during the night to re-attach a wire on my leg. You will be fine! Good luck!
  12. I like you was first going to get the lap band done. After a lot of research and talking with people with both the band and sleeve i choose the sleeve. One of my main reasons was insurance. I am afarid that how ofter insurance changes that at some point my insurance may not cover the fills and than i would be back to square one. Where the sleeve i would be able to work with. Also i have heard of many people who had the lap band to start with and 2 years down the line ended up swithcing to the sleeve. For me i want to do this surgery once and start living my life and not look back.
