My surgeon said at a Q & A seminar that is not the stomach that actually stretches over time but the intestine if a person over eats. And that it can actually burst which is very dangerous.

I believe when it's truly a God thing...God will show BOTH of you. God wants the very best for you! He came so that we can have life and life more abundantly! One scripture I have lived by is "seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added unto you." I have put God first in my life since a young age. God gave me a wonderful husband, married 20 years this October and 2 beautiful kids (18 and 13). Put God first, He will order your steps and lead you to the right person. Acknowledge the Lord in ALL YOUR WAYS and HE will direct your path :-)

OK I'm back on track! Thank you JESUS! I'm using the Weight Watcher system (points) and so far it's working! Thanks again for all your support! You all ROCK!

I was telling my dentist and a few of her staff that I am having WLS. One of them said for me not to lose too much weight from my face?:confused1:REALLY??? LIKE I REALLY HAVE A CHOICE???? And then she proceeded to say oh you are going to be so pretty after your surgery?:sad0:OK SO WHAT DOES THAT MAKE ME NOW??? CHOPPED LIVER? LOL LOL LOL!!! I am not having this surgery to "look pretty", I personally am fine with my looks now. I am having WLS for multiple health issues. And they say KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS???? Thanks for letting me vent LOL

I LOVE watching the Biggest Loser, but Jillian is INSANE! I would NEVER want her as my trainer:thumbdown:. I'll never forget the time she insisted one of the gals stop holding on to the rails of the treadmill. She told the girl, to take her arms off the rails or she would cut them off and beat her with them...What the heck???:001_unsure:

Hope I'm not too late. Harbor City Kaiser is a bariatric center of excellence, only 200 hospitals nationwide have a bariatric center of excellence (there are over 200 hospitals in CA alone). Check into it! I hear Dr. Zane is one of the best.

Yes! I'm having my surgery done via Kaiser CalPers :-) 100% covered.

I just found out (online) that my pre op is on 8/18/10. I meet with my surgeon at 11am then with an RN at 12:15pm (?). Does anyone know what's with the 2 appointments??? And what can I expect? Yikes!:crying:
