Thank you :laugh0:...I am using the weight watcher point system, and journaling everything (that's the key). I am also making sure to drink a protein shake for breakfast (30 grams of protein).

Humpty-you have Kaiser girlie! Fight your case! You should be able to get the sleeve done for free!!! Call the department of manged health care and tell them about your case.

My husband works for the department of insurance for the state of CA. He suggests you write to the department of managed health care. They regulate Kaiser.

Please don't feel guilty about getting the sleeve! I feel bad for her, BUT she should be HAPPY for you and want the BEST for you and not make you feel uncomfortable. What if it was the other way around? I'm sure you would feel bad that you couldn't get the loan but I'm sure you would be happy for her...If I were in your shoes I would probably not talk about it around her unless she brings it up. Hopefully she will come to her senses and celebrate with you :-) and if it's meant to be, her time will come.

That is TERRIBLE NEWS:thumbdown:!!!! I didn't qualify based on my BMI either through my primary doctor. It was only after my orthopedic surgeon put the referral in that my primary doctor signed off on it and the process began.

Let me guess was she a size 0???
