DOWN 30.5 pounds!!!

Well, I set a goal to be at 150 by this Sunday when I left for vacation and I am at 150.1, I would say close enough! To date I have lost 30.5 pounds and this coming Monday will be 9 weeks post op. I continue to follow low carb, low fat, high Protein and it is working for me. Weight loss is slow and steady and I am fine with that.

My Mom, who has not seen me since we said goodbye in the DFW airport when she went home and I still had to fly back to Dulles after surgery, has been asking me to send her pictures of my progress but I told her she will have to wait until I see her in Orlando on Monday!

My babysitter came over last night to watch the kids so I could go to dinner with a friend and she screamed when she saw me! Said I looked so much smaller! That was so awesome to hear!!!

Like I told a girlfriend at dinner last night, if anyone ever accuses me or anyone who has had WLS that we took the easy way out I think I would come unglued on them. This is not EASY! I watch what I eat everyday. Do I regret having to follow this healthy lifestyle, ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is what I needed to get control of my eating and my life.

It is a blessing in disguise because I was feeding my face and drinking alcohol to deal with emotions. Now, I can't do that. I have moments where I want to grab food or a beer and I know I cannot. This has given me the push I needed to start dealing with some very deep routed issues in my life and I am so grateful! It will be a long process but well worth it all!

TGIF!

WOW... you should be so proud of yourself. I know you have worked hard. I don't think 30.5 lbs in 9 weeks is slow though... especially for a lightweight. Good job:thumbup:

You must be very happy to rich your goal after all the sacrifice and hard work it demand. It takes special dedication and perseverance to get through such a demanding change in life stile. I congratulate you and wish you the best in your weight loss journey. Your achievement is an example to us all. Keep in touch! :)

That is so great!! 150 is below my goal weight lol so that is just amazing. So happy for you. Being a lower starting weight, I don't think 30 lbs in 9 weeks is slow!!! I think it's awesome! I'm at 7 weeks and 41 lbs and I started weighing 310!! Lost a bunch fast in the first month and now just sitting here hoping it gets going again.

Your mom will probably cry when she sees you :) In a good way :001_tt1:

Your weight loss is amazing being a lower BMI'er I am hoping for same thing, if I go forward that is. Anyways, your mom is going to flip too. I wish I could see that. YAY!

Wow that's fantastic...what a fabulous feeling to have someone notice!

Soooo, what did you have for dinner when you went out with your girlfriend?

Lovingly,

monica:001_tongue:

Good for you Angie. You must be proud. You looked mighty fine before the weight loss, so I imagine you will have a very busy and happy summer.

I had a sirloin steak from Texas Steakhouse. It was a 7 ounce steak, I ate about half that evening and ate the other half the next day for lunch. The meal came with a baked potato with butter and sour cream. I was able to take about 2 bites of the potato.

So different from what I would have had before surgery. I would have had a big salad and would have eaten the dinner rolls before the salad and the salad would be loaded with dressing.

I weighed this morning and was 147.7, I am going to weigh again tomorrow morning before believing it, I just can't believe my own eyes anymore. It is from all the times I did work so hard to lose weight and I didn't seem to have any luck, but this negative attitude is slowly changing since my Sleeve has really made my dreams come true. I work hard and I get results, that is all I ever wanted.
