  1. From what I've read here, everyone is different. I've read where some diets are 2 weeks to just a few days before surgery. At the seminar I attended in June I believe my surgeon said 1 or 2 days, but I will find out for sure next week:thumbup1:.
  2. Amen :frown1:!!! And I will be cheering you on as well!
  3. Premier is my favorite.
  4. Best to you on a speedy recovery :-)
  5. I'm so excited for you yayyyyy! Keep us updated :-)
  6. April 2, 2010 was the last day of my options class:thumbup:
  7. O wow I guess the rumors are true. I heard they closed the option to go to South Bay/Harbor City Kaiser because there was an expolsion of new patients :frown1:. I actually wanted to go to West LA initially but were backed up at the time. I guess it goes back and forth lol.
  8. I technically have not been put on an offical pre-op diet yet (my pre-op appt is on 8/18/10), I just really wanted to try and lose some weight before then. But thanks so much for the 411 it's so true about the carbs, liver etc. I really appreciate it :-)
  9. Girl that is AWESOME! They are probably confused! You were definitley not denied. Yayyyyy! You are on your way girlie! Thank you JESUS!
  10. Hey I've heard South Bay Harbor City is the BEST! They are one of the best Bariatric facilities nationwide out of 200 hospitals (and there are over 200 hospitals in California alone). They actually end up of fixing all the problem cases from Pacific and Crown. The surgeons are the BEST! It's worth the wait. Of course it's just my opinion...it's ultimately your decision:redface1:.
  11. OK I was just going over my notes from my options classes and biotin isn't even on the list of vitamins to take after surgery for hair. I was amazed to find out that they actually recommend B1 as the vitamin to take to prevent hair loss (along with the protein)...Does anyone take B1 on a regular basis???
  12. :thumbup:Way to GO! Ok 15 days is not too long to wait. That is awesome news! I will say a prayer for you:redface1:. Keep me posted!!!
  13. Thanks dolls! Hahahaha! You are funny Humpty! I tried one of those pills before and it made me SOOO sick lol! I think I will try cutting out the carbs tomorrow (too late for today), I'm sure that will help me lose by next Wednesday. Thanks again!!
  14. Ok I have been trying SUPER hard to lose a few pounds before next Wednesdays pre-op appt! My hubby even wanted to eat at our favorite Mexican whole in the wall on Sunday night and I refused!! Then woke up Monday morning a pound UP???? With NO CHEATING???? I was so frustrated that I broke down yesterday and didn't count points/track and bought some mini crumb cake donuts:frown1:!!! I don't understand why I even have to lose weight anyway???? Yeah, yeah I know the fatty liver... BUT HELLO that's why I'm having this surgery:mad: I NEED HELP LOL! Oh and now I'm up ANOTHER POUND????? Sorry:crying:, I just needed a place to vent. Thanks!
  15. Welcome! Congrats on your sleeve! You have many wonderful years ahead of you and you are off to a great start! Kudos to YOU
