About Me

  • Gender
    Female
My story started with the serious thought of losing weight when I found out I had kidney disease and high blood pressue . I spoke to my kidney dr and she suggested that we try a different approch in controling the disease itself . I had just had a child and she wanted me to lose weight because at the time I was 318 and after I had my son I went down to 305. Before I had my son I was 275 and just really didn't get enough exercise and should have . I quess I just really became disgusted with my weight and decided to lose weight some how . My doctor came up with the idea of having weight loss surgery . I agreed that this might be the best thing for me to do because at this stage in my weight I was just too heavy and being heavy only makes the blood pressure high. When I spoke to my husband about it he disagreed and really did not want me to have it . I guess he was afraid of not knowing what would happen. We discussed it and I had the surgery on 4/18/11. It has almost been three months and I am feeling fine. I just hope that I lose enough weight overall to be at a healthy weight again. I was not always overweight just since my late twenties and to date. That is my story and I am looking forward in seeing a new me really soon.
