  1. Good luck Minikie & Texas123....I'll see you guys at the recovery house!!!!
  2. What are my fellow Mexico sleever's doing or plan on doing for your follow up care? I initally thought that I could go to my PCP for follow up as needed. Then I found a local baratric physician (who's self pay cost is $16,000) who is willing to do any follow up care for me. He charges a $1,000 "program fee" and then every office visit would cost $75 (unless my insurance pays for it, which I doubt). What should I do? Any advice....
  3. Oh ok....I thought you rescheduled or something. lol I've been extremely nervous today....strange. I just want to get it over with too. I'm all packed and ready to go. What hotel are you staying at in San Diego?
  4. Texas123- I thought you were scheduled for Aug 2nd too?
  5. I'm scheduled w/Dr. Almanza in Tijuana, Mx on Aug. 3rd. From what I heard about the stitches is we have to take them out ourselves or have our PCP here in the States do it. Any follow up, which shouldn't be much, also is to be done by our PCP. Just check w/your facilitator on Monday Good luck!
  6. I'm scheduled for surgery w/Dr. Almanza Aug. 3rd. Does anybody know or plan to follow up (post op care) with a local physician? I don't know if I should call my family care practitioner when I get back to the States. Thanks~
  7. I put a little in everyday....lol My passports are in there, I'm sure that would be the one yet most important thing that I will forget to pack. lol I need to find a list so that I'm not over packing.
  8. MeMeMEEE- I'm with you. If I visit one more VSG forum while I'm at work, I swear they're gonna block all of them so I can get some work done! lol My emotions are all over the place. One minute I'm excited, then I'm nervous, then I'm doubting my decision, etc. Maybe it's because I'm going to Mexico to have the procedure...? I don't know, but I'm just ready to get the waiting over with. I started packing my suitcase last night.....come on August 3rd!
  9. Mamamckinzie- CONGRATS!! We're getting close August All-Stars....I'm nervous yet excited to get this show on the road.
  10. Oh, ok. We drove through Waco last weekend...we were coming from Flint,Tx (a timeshare resort). Yes, I book my hotel at the Holiday Inn Express. I originally had it booked at the Hampton Inn, but cancelled it after reading that the train goes right behind it. I'm sure I'm not gonna be able to sleep much that night anyway, but I don't need the help of a noisey train. lol Where are you staying? Are you going by yourself? My husband is going with me.
  11. Texas123-What part of Texas are you from? I'm in San Antonio. My surgery is scheduled for Aug. 3rd!
  12. I like the August Allstars
  13. I'm scheduled for Aug. 3rd w/dr. Almanza. I guess I see u in the recovery house!
  14. I am having the gastric sleeve on August 3, 2011 with Dr. Almanza in Tiajuana, Mexico.
