Curves vs Gym
I had a week free at curves. I liked it but after a week I kinda got REALLY bored with the same routine. I joined Lucille Roberts that is so nit intimidating at all, the have tons of exercise equipment, Circuit training or classes. I opt for a gym cause u can do all of the above named things, not be bored, and hours are more flexible.

Eating out on Fridays with co-workers
So I am a teacher and work is starting in a couple of weeks. I am 9 days post op now but back to work soon has me questioning what I'm going to do. We eat in school Monday-Thursday but we all usually go out to eat on Fridays to enjoy getting out of the building. We frequent local places in town such as: Wendy's Quiznos McDonalds The local diner local Pizzeria okay, please help me...what do i get to eat..I dont really want to say no to going out but very scared to get the wrong thing. The diner would be the easiest with a big menu and diet delight but what about the other places. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS would be greatly appreciated. Thanks A Million!!!! Cara

Protein Drinks???
I use isopure and Love it! 3 cubes and blend.... 2 scoops if it's a meal or 1 scoop just to give me good protein. 1 scoop 25p 2 scoops 50 grams of Protein! I really like Jay Robb chocolate whey but it's pricey so I use it sparingly.

August 2011 Bandsters????
Hello August Banders!! Im 5 days post op and feel great! My dr has me on liquid only for 2 weeks. I have a protein shake (mixed with water) on the morning, broth at lunch and dinner sometimes, and jello once a day right about now. I have my water bottle or a water bottle with me wherever I go now, left it at home on day 3 and became really dehydrated and learned my lesson. Ive been driving and no issues. Stopped taking pain meds today and dont feel any different w/out the meds. What kind of diet is everyone following? how many weeks? i go see my dr in the morning and he will check incisions. Wishing everyone well! Cara

What was you BIGGEST post op full liquid diet slip up???
I cheated...yet I didnt. For some strange reason my husband bought my daughter MINI OREO cookies..ugh! Left on the counter..she asked for some milk and cookies. I put a mini in my mouth, chewed it down to liquid and then spit it in the garbage then washed my mouth in the sink...OHHH WHYYYY!!!! LOL Im only 5 days post op and dont wanna mess anything up, I had a moment of weakness. I am now hating my jello LMAO

4 days Post-op
Hey! Im 5 days post op and aside from a lil dehydration on day 3 I feel great! Im getting healthier and stronger every day ( sorry dont wanna rub it in) I would call your dr right away. They get paid alot so call with any info or questions. They can also tell you what it is since I am sure they have heard and seen it all. I would get on that emergency line now! Can't hurt! What did you eat? what does your dr have you on the first week of surgery? Good Luck and hope you feel better soon!

A little Monday morning pep talk.
Great post!!!! i have only been banded a few days (8/11) but I was given no instruction manual with this band. I have a guide on do's and don'ts but it was up to me to re educate myself on the ways of eating. How to eat, how impotant potein is, how carbs dont agree with my body, I have to learn to listen. It will be a positive jouney for me because I am set in my mind that's what I will make for myself. I have a dont quit attitude and have a bunch of high protein low carb band friendly meals for me and when i am able to eat. Yes, it wont be all rainbows and unicorns but I am sure to be on the happiet side of the rainbow I can. I didnt go through all this to give into head signals that im hungry, i need that bread, I need just one more bite. My band is my immancipation of food and my independence of taking my life back. Im wishing eveyone the same motivation and luck on their journey!!!! Cara
