  1. @newmebithebypass hey bud i never had that issue. I wish i had to a small point. It would be easier to avoid/not want certain foods. (cheese cake, key lime, pecan pic - can you tell i have a sweet tooth!) gotta stop with these examples, mouth is drooling) guess when YOU are experiencing the prob - its no "fun", having no desire to eat foods you used to love (still wouldn't mind having that prob a little bit!) i know your weight loss is going well you are still "young" in being PO 6 months - hopefully this issue will turn around sooner than later keep up the great work good luck kathy hey bud, you joined BP 3 years ago, you used to write many good, informative, helpful post - pre-op , now you only peak in/write once in awhile - i miss you, losing weight, seeing "less and less of you" - please come around more often, would love to see your cute☺️ little face more often - kathy
  2. hello bariatric buds I wrote the above phrase on the previous page on January 29th - fast forward 2+ months..................... new day, new world! funny/sad how things can change. 8 months ago, i started Peritoneal Dialysis- done at night while i sleep, no problems through the procedure, sleep like a log!! (DH says i still snore LOL) dialysis causes a water "situation" . i am now 13.3 lbs over my GOAL of 130. I know its just water weight, but it is gradually effecting my clothes. Life is good - dialysis keeps me going - don't like the water weight gain. It's a trade off. I'm still cute as a button!!? good health is all that its cracked up to be. 7+ years sleeved, I'm still standing!!☺️ kathy
  3. @Bebeak hmmmmm, i was in your exact position 40 years ago (no WLS though)!!!, and my DD turned out just like her mom. wonderful weight loss. repeating from all, talk to your NUT/team - take care of yourself. it always should be, but these next few months - it's totally all about you!!☺️ out of curiosity (you know what they say about that)! Is this your 1rst child? holding a glass of water to you and your healthy beautiful baby to be.☺️ best wishes kathy congrats

  9. @angie_is_losing_it i'm so sorry you are having a rough time. I know many OP have had their period during/right after surgery. For many, that must be an awful experience dealing with it and just having had WLS. not being able to walk, bathroom issues - all that blood. i can only imagine how you feel, not good. ? Glad things are turning around now, hopefully you will feel better day, by day. good luck kathy

  14. @GradyCat can't get over that your cousin said that!! I would have been dumbfounded !! Some people should think before they open their mouth. I wouldn't have known what to say.? mom, brother, cousin - all heavy - you are doing a great job to break that cycle !! keep up the good work, so they can continue to see "less and less of you" LOL kathy
  15. @SierraEraEra Welcome to the neighborhood. We've been waiting for you to. Keep coming to the boards, ask question, read what others say, you might have similar questions., there is also a search area. Hear OP's advice, answers, experiences they have had. Butttt at the end of the day only listen to your NUT - that stands for nutritionalist (msp) newbie. i think "we" all hate it when anyone tells us we can do this on our own with exercise, eating right, etc. etc.I think its safe to say we've all been there, done that. Tried to lose weight most of our lives many times. Up and down. Yo yo? I "hate" all DH or DW that are naturally thin - can eat a whole pizza without a blink!! my DH has always beeen obese, he's always been very supportive. i'm sure you DH will continue to be supportive - if not, hit him over the head with frying pan! ? good luck kathy

  20. @Mikeyy I'm NOT in the medical field, buttttt my back round - I am in "chronic kidney failure" stage IV highest " been on peritoneal dialysis past 8 months - done at home at night while i sleep (no prob, doesn't hurt and i sleep like normal) I had my sleeve 7+ years ago. My nephroligist approved the WLS, but at that time things weren't as serious for me. I called my nurse now, told your story. (doc wasn't available) She says "probably" you are at stage III bariatric surgery has made many surgical improvements - so "maybe" now, things have improved with WLS - you might qualify with ins. Obviously you must talk to you nephrologist" i am blessed" with diabetes (has improved), and HP is normal after surgery.☺️ Wish you luck with getting through jumping through the hoops feel free to write me w/any questions Please contact me with whats going on. What neprologist and WLS dr say. would love to know curious, but you know what they say about curiosity!!! ? good luck kathy
