  2. @Danny Paul hey dude, nice to see you☺️ i kept trying and trying to lose weight since high school. Reason being i wanted to look attractive. i realized soon, it was all about my declining health. my health has improved beyond belief. Looking cute as a button too is a bonus!!? Your medications/ health issues, gone/disappeared. seeing a therapist, OA too, Moderation is key regarding ie food/restaurants, clothe shopping - too bad your improvements have caused them almost foreclosure!! LOL You realize/must always be mindful of proper eating, moderation etc. - You've got that down. you will continue to be a success!! You are totally ACES!! keep up the good work for the rest of your healthier, happier, life - (SS can wait a few more years to reap its full benefits!!!!! kathy happy surgiversary
  3. @BlueCrush looks like your PS was a success! Great weight loss too. Sorry about the problems you had w/BP Mexico.? keep on keepon' if you feel as good as you look - WOW! kathy congrats
  4. @LizzieMmmkay You will definitely fit in with this crowd? Rambling and venting are good for the sole - we all do it, you are no stranger- nice post, i can relate to much - especially about those chairs - i was always afraid to sit in one for fear of collapsing Sounds like you have 3 younguns, that's great that you will have WLS in time to run around with those munchins. glad you are enjoying reading these boards - KNOWLEDGE is POWER good luck☺️ kathy WELCOME
  5. @Catherine Wible you are doing great the excess weight loss usually shows up in the face first your face is lookin' great! I'm sure the rest of you looks just as good!!☺️ keep up the good work! kathy
  6. @MeepMeep kind of like rubbing your tummy, patting your head, and chewing gum at the same time? takes time to learn, but i know you can do it LOL Kathy
  7. @Vance-666 Many OP post on here that they have soooo much trouble drinking PO for awhile - are unsuccessful, - they also can't stand the taste. Taste buds, frequently change with many items/besides drinking slllllowly OP can drink easier - then hopefully to normal - eventually gulping - @Cheeseburgh - your doc was correct when he gave his comment. i, also have always been a successful water drinking. (and eventually gulper) holding up a glass of water to you and all BP members? kathy
  8. That about sums it up for me! I haven't gone to the the state fair in years. When you try hard enough/and look long enough, sure you "might" find "better/healthier" foods - but there are sooooo many yummy, delicious other foods, too much, too much, too much. it's not that i don't trust myself - it's food, it freely and willingly jump into my hands - and into my mouth!! aka attack of the apple fritters!!? knowing my weaknesses are important for me, the fair is at the top of my list of no no no!! for me, my portions and of course avoiding the exit sign toward the state fare are essential.? recognizing my problems are 1/2 the solution kathy
  9. @missmoe you look fabbbbbulous☺️ love the blue dress too go ahead, strutt your stuff!! keep up the good work kathy congrats
  10. @FluffyChix hey bud, welcome☺️ glad you are finally "legal" your great words, knowledge, advice are always right on target you are aces!! kathy
  11. @Healthy_life2 very true!! dense protein (ie chicken, steak) i get full very quickly. i always request a "to go container" to be given to me the same time as i receive my plate. I immediately put half food in container. Restriction helps. Unfortunately at 7+ years PO - "good" restriction is not usually applicable kathy
  12. @Vance-666 you are only 4 days OLD - give your new sleeve a chance. as time passes, hopefully your new little tummy will accept water without pains or incidents my NUT and i had a discussion on gulping early PO. She told me not to gulp til i felt better in general, then i could slowly try. i've had never had a prob with drinking/gulping you will frequently hear from OP that we're all different - NUTS/ drs. at the end of the day, always only listen to NUT (and me?) good luck newbie kathy
  13. @ms.sss i just saw @Wendyfm's post, and was going to say the same welcome back you beat me to the punch? nice to see you Wendy - congrats on maintaining kathy
  14. @KaysMommy that's great that you "ran" into your doc. It's worth a five hr drive to see a good dr. the fact that their nurse remembered you, and called you back so quickly, says a lot about their office. glad things are improving☺️ kathy
  15. @KaysMommy Welcome, welcome, welcome - you've come to the right place for help, info, and support! what a story. you have been through sooooo much, you have come out on the other side, head held high. you stayed in the hospital for 7 months PO?? OMG - infections, more surgeries. your great tale shows/tells after achieving goal, gaining weight back, ANYONE can get back on track. congrats on achieving goal again. ? good luck kathy

(and you too?) i used the small bike at rehab after i broke my femur last year. i used it daily x2 for 8 weeks. i liked it. its low impact/easy to use. thanx bud, i now decided to order it - I'll send you the bill!!? btw - your weight loss is great, per your profile your DOS was 2016 - did you recently have a revision? inquiry minds/nosey want to know!! congrats on your weight loss. keep up the good work kathy
  17. @JAKE H hey dude - welcome welcome welcome? congrats on achieving your first goal of many to come you've come to the right place, read the boards, you'll get a lot of good info OP will help with info, advice, support -we will tell you our stories, what we were told to eat/not -but at the end of the day ONLY listen to YOUR NUT - he's in your corner for you alone -use the search button, left top corner - ie type in the word coffee, and another time - sex - you'll see many discussions on these two important topics one word helps put you to sleep, the other keeps you wide awake and jumping? your journey is just starting - never compare yourself to any other Tom, d**k or Kathy you'll do great best of luck kathy
  18. @PudgeBeGone hi there you are doing great. keep up the good work for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life - like everyone else, you deserve the best!!! keep UP the good job, while your weight goes DOWN? lookin' forward to seeing "less and less" of you good luck kathy congrats
  19. 35, awwwww i remember it well!!! (30 years ago)? happy b'day dude
  20. @stevedallas totally terrific transformation, @Deedee12 is correct with father/son comparison it takes a confident man to strut his stuff in Texas. it might be sexist to tell you how great your legs look - oh well, i'll throw caution to the wind and say it anyway.!!!? keep up the great work throwin' a cowboy hat in the air to your success☺️ kathy congrats
  21. @Healthy_life2 thanx for the "revival" - I feel like singing !!! i was sleeved one month shy of turning 58 years old, 7+ years later, i am 65 years young!! used to be 5'3" - now i stand 6' feet TALL!! (still cute as a button!!) inherited kidney problems from dad - about 15 years ago?, good looks from mom LOL Dialysis started one year ago -no prob - no pain - sleep fine, "hooked" up in bed at night for 10 hours.(hmmmm, sounds kinky?) dialysis then does its stuff and i'm good to go. (small catheter in stomach / attached 30' hose) i can reach/walk to the bathroom - phew!!! (hmmmm - probably TMI, but when you are in renal failure - your kidney functions - urinating - decrease/STOP) buttt unfortunately you still feel that need/urge to go to the BR (you try, but will be unsuccessful) i eat like a "normal" person, Moderation used to be a big problem. all good now - watch how and what i eat, i no longer keep track of my day with MFP - but i am very mindful of what/how much i eat & drink, calories etc. weigh daily after i shower- weight fluctuates 5+ lbs here and there GOAL - was 130 - now 135-140. NEVER have gone over that dreadful # of 140. that's my story and i'm stickin' to it. ? (film at 11:00, coming to a theater near you!!) hugggggs to all my BP family holding a glass of water up to your/our health kathy
