  1. Hi all..saw my Cardio Doctor this morning and he gave me the green light for surgery on Monday April 30...Three weeks from today... to say that I'm excited would be an understatement. I went to a Lap Band seminar 2 weeks ago and talked to a bandster who is 9 months and 140 lbs later and that really inspired me. I'll keep you posted ------------- If I had known that I'd live this long I'd have taken better care of myself Mickey Mantle

  3. Hello everyone I've been reading this forum for some time now and because of what I have read decided to proceed and get "banded" I was a candidate for gastric bypass 18 months ago, had jumped thru all the necessary hoops, geared myself up for it,got a surgery date, and failed the last cardio exam.So I lost the surgery date and my enthusiasm and gained another 20 lbs. My PCP recently suggested Lap Band and my HMO has a Lap Band surgeon so I decided to go for it. I meet Dr Fusco (Melbourne,Fl) on the 12th and I'm scheduled for surgery 4/30. To say that I'm excited would be an understatement. I'll keep you posted. ________________ If I knew I was going to live this long I'd have taken better care of myself Mickey Mantle
  4. Hello everyone, My first post and I wanted to say I have enjoyed reading this "Just for US Guys thread" ...not that I don't enjoy the ladies but I want to read more relevant or is it irreverent posts. I have a surgery date for 4/30 with Dr Fusco here in Melbourne Florida. I'm 60 .. weigh 420...BMI is 60 and I would love to see 250 again. I'll keep reading and posting. ________________________ "If I had known I was going to live this long I'd have taken better care of myself" Mickey Mantle
