  1. I am on the Pre-op liquid diet. I am currently eating Fat free pudding, greek yogurt, clam chowder soup( put thru the food processor) and occassional Protein shake (medifast) and an occasional sugar free icepop. Does any one have any other ideas or foods that they have eaten or are eating during this phase? Also, I am not really keeping track of calories, right now, I know that after I am supposed to keep it to about 600 cal per day for the first 1-2 weeks. I dont recall if there was supposed to be the same restriction now, I would think not, but even so, I am not eating anything like I was before. Thanks, Sherry
  2. Wow, good for you! I am on preop diet right now, what are you eating if you dong mind? Are you currently exercising? Thanks, Sherry

  5. Hi, I know how you feel. I haven't told that many people. Especially the ones that I feel will have "some kind of opinion". The truth is, yours is the only one that counts. The surgical coordinator said, if you do not want to tell people, and they ask about your weightloss, just tell them, your eating less and exercising more, which is the truth of the matter. I am nervous myself about my up coming surgery which will be on May 19th, but I am trying to think past it and keep my eye on the prize. Noone but you has talked to your doctor and have been provided the information. You have chosen to come to the right place filled with so many who have had the same procedure as you. I think the more you prepare and educate yourself, the better you'll be. Best of luck to you. Keep your Chin up! Sherry (sheran4eva)

  8. Hi All, My name is Sherry, I'm set to be banded in less than a week, on May 19th. My Doctor is Dr. Larry Gellman in Long Island, New York. I am pretty nervous, I am very fortunate that I do not have any health issues, and am doing this because I do not want to wind up with any at the rate I am going. I'm worried about possible complications and what my banded future is going to be like. I just hope I am not playing with fire, is all. In any case, this site looks great, there are so many supportive people sharing the same journey. Best of luck to all! Sherry
