Lets Talk Liquid diet, Pre & Post

I am on the Pre-op liquid diet.

I am currently eating Fat free pudding, greek yogurt, clam chowder soup( put thru the food processor) and occassional Protein shake (medifast) and an occasional sugar free icepop.

Does any one have any other ideas or foods that they have eaten or are eating during this phase?

Also, I am not really keeping track of calories, right now, I know that after I am supposed to keep it to about 600 cal per day for the first 1-2 weeks. I dont recall if there was supposed to be the same restriction now, I would think not, but even so, I am not eating anything like I was before.

Thanks,

Sherry

2 weeks before surgery I have had to be on a liquid Protein shake only diet. It's day 6 for me. I must say, it is much harder psychologically than I thought it would be. The nutritionist said I could have some chicken broth or sugar free Jello. The chicken broth helps a bit. I can at least pretend its chicken Soup. Need to go out and buy some jello.

Thanks for you reply. How many calories are you supposed to be on? How many shakes per day are you drinking and which ones are you using? I purchased like 5 cases of medifast.
