  1. Wiggle while you work,,, stretch, dance from one room to another, park far away from destination, do steps instead of elevator- in bed excersize you legs, stomach arms just a few extra min a day. it helps
  2. I m thinking i may have to do it again as I had it b-4, it gives you ulcers and to fix it is a rough regimen of antibiotics, gave me serious diarreah. its a simple breath test. yu blow into a baggie. better to get thngs fixed before than after
  3. you can help pay for some of your expense by taking your better clothes to a cosignment store, here you can sell you nice stuff for some money, as you must replace your clothe anyhow. It is not much, but I shop at these places for a good suit and I will be taking them back LOL! The rest -the shelters or a house -fire victims or womens shelters, many times these gals leave home with very little- A lot of my old clothes are in Haiti, from the earthquque. Lots of need out there!
  4. I do not kow as I am not there yet, BUT they want your liver to be soft and pliable to move it out of the way, you must stop all alcohol as it produces the liver to become stiff,, this is a major life change, be weeks before you can drink again.
  5. 3 months but proof of weigh 2 yrs thtas how I read it,,, but just a fed emp,,, not a ins atty like wee need to be sometimes
  6. does the ins pay for the dietician, psych eval, and 3 mo doctor monitored weightloss plan?
  7. If i am reading correctly you are getting referrals? i was told 5 times, if a DR is on the providers list -no referral is needed. I am just starting here, and thought the surgeon sets all those folks up?? one thing is for sure, i will make sure all these drs etc are linked somehow. what a mess, makes you wanna eat a whole pie! I also saw dieticians are NOT covered if they are not diabetes sessions?they make it hard dont they?
  8. I am w FEPblue fla, how much was out of pocket? if I may ask. I am wondering about the 30% of the items like the band itself.. did you go out-patient?
  9. WOW I have been asking these questions for 3 days of all the forums etc. This kinda news would devestate me financially,, (govt employee)- lol, no I am just a GS-7 so seriously. I think I am going to be the biggest pain in the butt with asking 1000 question of every one, you would think by now everybody have this down to a science! I have fepblue florida, just starting -the INS book let is NOT very imformatived NO one here said anything about the 3 months of medical wight loss program, t the bloggers all say 6 months? I have FEPblue florida, just starting but when I called, the gal started reading out of the booklet,,, I can do that!! I wanted clarification. One good thing is my surgeons office is by a military base, so I think they have some prior knowledge of how to work with FEPBLUE. GOOD luck in sorting this all out, hope you lose weight over it! but NOT your health and peace of mind.
  10. I pray you feel better and that you get wisdom of how to deal with this pain. If its gas pains, they say walk walk walk, and sip water. but best you call your Dr, as only he can really inform you of what you maybe experiencing, God bless and give you relief!
  11. why are they taking the bands OFF?
  12. I have to see if he takes my insurance, but the ins co itself promotes pasadena hospt, st pete, so they are the preferred drs. in eitehr case i was approved by "carecredit" for the fee, so I am good to GO!!!now the procees of the visits and tests and insurance approvals. and I do worry bout my GP writing that letter.
  13. Hi going to my 1st seminar toniight! and scheduled the dreaded colonoscopy, as I am over 50. I live in Clearwater but work in Tpa by the airport. My ins will pay all but deductible, but I am hearing there is a $1000 fee you must pay for, is this true ? I hear TBH also has some $750 fee. I want to know the true cost, as I spend what I make just living. I am going to see if dr aguila is on my ins plan. Is there a support group in Tampa? anyone have trouble getting thier GP to sign off on the letter saying you MUST have the surgery? so many questions, but I rather hear from one already been there n done that.

  15. Finally found some one in my Area with my questions Thank YOU!. I am in clearwater and in the middle of both TGH and Pasadena. I am going to the Pasadena seminar thursday, and I defenitely want to know my out of pocket expenses and time frames. I must do a colonoscopy as well, and thats $300. Please those recently banded, in the Tampabay area... let us know what to expect. I have FEPBLUE and the promote both these places and in OTHER blogs I read that some other folks did NOT pay these fees. but I do not know where they live. Anyhow.. Good luck, pray we get approved and do well.
  16. I am very interested in this, I do not have $1000, plust the costs of dr visits, the colonoscopy as I am 58 and the back n forth between drs etc etc. The ins covers both the Pasadena Palms hospt and Tampa General hospt beatric surgery but why is there ANY out of pocket, besides co-pays.???
  17. Hi, I am in Clearwater, going to the seminar May 19 at the Holiday Inn. My ins is FEPBLUE and they cover the surgery, but the "approval" is what I worry about and I am not sure My GP will send that letter. I think they feel they will lose you, if you get too healthy! HA! I am just in the middle, defenitely 40 BMI with borderline BP, arthiritis, and pre-diabetic, and on Nexium for Gerd. At 58, i think I will only go downhill from here if the weight doesnt come off. Anyhow, wondering what all the insurance companies want. A contract from the gym, an attemp to get weight loss with a center that offered the vitas B-12 shots etc, and? they need receipts? I guess I'll learn more Thursday, I am so exited! I pray it all goes well. Pray with me, it be a new life !!
  18. I am in Fl w FEPBLUE ins and previous posts for 2008 every body was getting done. Anyone with newer info? I am going next thurday to the seminar. if I can afford it, and they approve it its a new life!
