  1. I had my rny revision last monday. I had a very extreme case. 2 months after having my son my band slipped and twisted causing lots of damage and had to be removed that morning. The rny is my new beginning I had gained all 100lbs lost in the 6 months between removal and rny. My preop started 8/15 and I lost 16 lbs prior to surgery. At my 1 week post op I was down 4 lbs on top of the water weight from 6 days in the hospital. I came out of a 7 hr surgery with a tube down my nose into my bowel to keep my intestines from healing shut. I had to have a catheter and was medically induced sleep for 3 days. Once they removed the tube and catheter I was up and walking on day 4. By the end of day 5 I was walking on my own and progressed to be released on day 6. The nurses could not believe my determination to be released. Even with my complications rny was the right choice. I am 10 days out and am so grateful for this chance to renew my life.

  3. I am 22 weeks and my ob has been concerned with that I had lost 10 pounds. I had seen my surgeon last week and had 1cc taken out of my band. My concern now is that I had gained back all 10 pounds in 1 week. What experiences have you had with weight gain and taking fluid out? I do not feel as if I eat enough to gain 10 pounds in a week.

    Surgery Date Scedule

Today after 3 months of herassing my primary, I have finally scheduled a date for surgery June 16. I am 24 days away from my new beginning. I am currently 22 years old and have been overweight my entire life. When I was 17 years old I had lost 75 lbs by following the atkins diet and ultimately when i reached what I thought was a great weight my docter told me I was 11 lbs overweight still. This is when the weight started coming back. I have always told myself I am ok with being overweight but this is the end. I am going to lose the weight and keep it off and not allow any1 to discourage me. I know this will once again be a struggle and will continue through my entire life, but I am ready to fight back against obesity.. I know this is going to be a long journey but I am ready to face my fears. 24 more days until surgery and nothing will hold me back. This is not a quick fix but an aid to be who I want to be. Time to look in the mirror and see the beauty of me! Every1 just remember, you can do it if you put your mind to it.
