Help! 3 weeks out and I've stopped losing weight

Hi! I'm 8 weeks out and had a three week stall during weeks 4,5,6. Stick with the rules. I upped my food intake and watched carbs and finally the scale moved and I've lost 6 more pounds in last 2 weeks for a total of 36. Sometimes your body just stops to take a breath. -

I didn't go off mine at all. I took one with a sip of Water the morning of surgery and the only one I missed was the day after surgery when I didn't have anything to eat or drink. If you start Clear liquids you would be able to take the yaz pill since it's small. Some doctors want you to be off because of risk of blood clots but if you have no history you should be ok. Hope this helps. I would ask your surgeon or gyn and see what they say. -
strange tingling

Vitamin B-6 overdose can lead to numbness in hands (and possibly feet). Vitamin B-12 deficiency can cause numbness. I would check your vitamins. I had a patient of mine tell me that he read and article on B-6 causing tingling and numbness in hands and took himself off of it and was back to normal in about a week. Hope your find an answer soon. -
I had surgery on Thanksgiving day 2010 and am 2 weeks out today. I went to Dr. Alvarez. I'm a physician/surgeon here in the states and could have had the surgery discounted because of that but still felt better going to someone that has been doing it longer and has done more procedures than anyone in the area that I practice. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Alvarez and his staff. I was lucky enough to attend an obesity help conference in Houston where Dr. Alvarez spoke and got to meet him and his surgery coordinator and many of his patients that were so happy with their choice and with their doctor. He considers his patients his friend and you are given his number to call or contact him anytime and he's also available thru facebook for answering questions as well. I wouldn't do anything differently. I went alone and had no worries at all. I had no pain after surgery and have been doing terrific. I'm still on the liquid phase 2 now and look forward to all the rewards that come from this surgery.

Hey Girl, I've not kept track of my calories but I know they are low. I'm just trying to get the fluids in...tried the protein bullets and they were a no go. I would recommend if you are getting light headed and dizzy to try a regular Gatorade or Powerade, that will give you some calories and electrolytes. I've been back at work for 2 days and I'm up and running from the time I get there till I leave and have not been tired at all. I just do one powerade slushie (we have sonic in Texas) a day and chicken stock and Water (straight water doesn't go down that easy for me). Hope that helps. -

Hey girl, I'm back home and doing well. I lost my voice but other than that I feel good. I plan to go back to work tomorrow. I have a full schedule so lets keep our fingers crossed that I make it through the day. I only have a half day wednesday. My worst day was the day I came home from the hospital. I had not been taking any meds while in the hospital because I didn't think I needed them and I think the drive was a little too much. All better now. I drove 3 hours from my parents to my home today and that wasn't too bad. I've been having alot of Powerade slushes but can't take the Protein bullets. Hope you are doing well. Keep in touch. -

I saw your post about Dr. Alvarez. I met him recently when he spoke in Houston and thought he was a wonderful caring person. His patients just love him. I had already scheduled my surgery for Thanksgiving with him but wanted to meet him since he was going to be so close to home. I will let you know how my experience is once I have the surgery.

I'm going o Alvarez...I think you going to the other Dr. A correct? I saw you had two different posts about your Dr...One was Alvarez and one was Aceves sp? I'm going to Alvarez...so are we not going to be sleeve sisters at the same place?
