Halloween (Oct. 31) - What will you Weigh?
SN..................... Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Chicadee.............301lb...................295lb.........275lb..........20lbs Definitely no way I am making this goal. Pretty frustrating, I have lost 6 pounds only since labor day. I am not going to change my ticker, the scale did say 292 one day last week but it is steady at 295 for the last 4 days. I have been taking my Vitamins every day for 5 days straight and today I am starting to log my food the way I should have been all along.

How many people have you've told about your sleeve?
There are 7 co-workers/friends I have told about it and handful of my small family that know.

Women Only Question
I have lost several band sizes at this point but not the cup size yet, I am sure as I continue to lose weight that will change too.

When Can We Stop Worrying About Gastric Sleeve Complications
Mine fixed itself. It was a micro leak so nothing major, didn't need a drain or anything like that. I think I had a strange situation, just follow your doctor's orders. Some people heal more slowly than others. My surgeon was quite surprised that happened to me when it did. Typically it is around the 3-4 week mark if something is going to happen.

When Can We Stop Worrying About Gastric Sleeve Complications
I had a micro leak that was discovered about 6 weeks out. Was in the hospital for like 4 days on heavy antibiotics. I have been feeling great since then.

Start weight 400lbs?
My highest was 390 in February and day of surgery was 363 (May) after being on the pro-op diet for like 6 weeks. I am now 292 and just 2 lbs away from losing 100 lbs. Still a long way to go but definitely the best thing I have ever done. My body feels so much better now even though I still need to lose a lot. My feet don't hurt anymore, I had plantar fasciitis and heal spurs. I no longer wear my orthotics and can wear all of the shoes in my closet (I still don't wear heals). I am not winded walking from my car into the office or trying to tie my shoes. I no longer use my CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Best of Luck!

Should I go to the hospital?
You should definitely get checked as everyone's experience is different and you don't want to take any chances. That being said, I had my monthly for 6 weeks straight after surgery, I wanted to pull out all my hair. and now I haven't had it for 3 months so I am seeing the doctor about it. Get checked hopefully it isn't something serious.

Large amt of wl needed
I am probably the shortest person with the most to lose. My starting weight was 390 and I am 5'1". I am currently 295, moving slow and steady at this point. Still a long way to go. You can do it!!

Sleep Apnea Cured
Well I haven't had another sleep study yet but I was turning down my pressure until I got to a point I couldn't sleep with the mask anymore. I have been sleeping without it for like 2 months now. I do want to have another sleep study done to confirm but thought I should lose a bit more first.

Halloween (Oct. 31) - What will you Weigh?
SN..................... Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Chicadee.............301lb...................297lb.........275lb..........22lbs Been stalled for almost 2.5 weeks now hovering between 299 and 297.....I think it will be a tall order to get these 22 lbs in what is now 1 month left. Hopefully I can make it. Worried about my Dr visit on the 19th because he is not going to be happy if I am still stuck here, he will give me the 3rd degree.

Clothing NSV
So I have lost 91 pounds since I started this journey many months ago. I was wearing at my largest size 5x tops at times, mostly 4x. All of my 3x top and pants are starting to get too big and people keep telling me I need to buy new clothes. I just hate to spend any money. I ordered some stuff, cause I still won't shop in stores, online from the clothing place I would buy all my plus size clothes from and everything I bought I picked as 2x figuring even if I didn't fit into it I could save it. Everything I bought fit me!!!! 2 of the tops and 1 of the pants were a bit too snug but they were on me.....I'll probably hold off wearing those for a bit but everything else, 2 other tops and 4 pair of pants all fit comfortably, I was pleasantly surprised.

Watermelon
I tried it pretty early as well, when I was able to eat soft food. I couldn't eat very much of it either.

What was your starting weight/height and how much did you lose in the first month
Day of Surgery weight was 363, I am 5'1" and lost approximately 20 lbs in the first month after surgery. My stall, I guess if you can call it t hat, was at the 3/4/5 week mark.

Post-op DIet
Not sure, I have always wondered why they are all so different too. I had 1 weeks clears, 1 week fulls, 1 week mushies, 1 week soft and then on to regular foods as tolerated.

List of foods that you can eat when fully healed
I am eating salads no problem at all. Had one today and yesterday. Just make sure that isn't all you eat, need that Protein first. My lunch today was a half of a tuna sandwich on toast and a small salad with balsamic dressing. With having my surgery in May, I came to a turning point a couple weeks ago and really can eat just about anything at this point in moderation. I do occasionally have some issues with eggs and I won't eat most bread type items which I shouldn't be eating anyway. I don't drink carbonated beverages of any kind. I tried a sip of my husbands's diet coke the other day and I didn't miss the taste at all so I am not going to bother with it.

Hitting 60 lb mark and hair falling out in HANDFULS!
My hair is coming out like crazy, it is really starting to freak me out. I am shedding worse than the dogs. I only need to touch my head and I have a handful of hair, I feel like I can make a wig with what comes out in the shower. I do have a lot of hair but I keep telling my husband if this doesn't let up soon I am going to be bald. I have the Biotin but I have not been taking it consistently. I am trying to get as much Protein as possible each day and I have a long way to go before my weightloss evens itself out because I have so much weight yet to lose. I am just hoping for the best.

FYI - Synthroid
I have been taking my thyroid meds and my prilosec at the same time every morning for the last 4 months. Is there confirmation somewhere these shouldn't be taken together? I'd like to read up on it. Thanks, Heather

Three Months Update (give or take a week!)
I am a Red Velvetter as well. Was sleeved on May 3rd. Since I started counting in February I have lost 85lbs(58 lbs since surgery). The third week of July i found myself in the hospital for 3 days on heavy antibiotics. It was later decided I must have had a micro leak that healed itself. I was back to liquids for a week. I have been eating a variety of carbs and I know I shouldn't be, definitely nothing like I used to. I hate counting anything so that is a major bad habit that I need to fix. I also need to start working some consistent exercise into my routine. I haven't been doing anything but some occasional walking up to this point. My heels no longer hurt when I walk and I no longer get winded like I used to. I can wear all of the shoes in my closet that I haven't been able to wear in several years. My bras are all falling off and all of my pants are too big, great problems to have . I can't wait to be under 300 hopefully before labor day so I can meet my goal for the challenge. Within the last week i noticed I can eat pretty much anything now without any problems, before it would be hit or miss depending on the food and it wouldn't be consistent. Now I feel more back to normal than I have since surgery. My only big issue now is that my hair is falling out at a record pace. Granted I had a ton of hair on my head but it is really alarming to me to see how much I am losing, I have no bald spots or anything like that. I keep threatening that if this keeps up I am going to go Sinead O"Connor style. No regrets for me having the surgery, I would do it all over again.

Nuclear Cardio Stress Test
I had the same test. I was fine afterwards my only complaint because I was so heavy at the time was the length of time I had to spend laying on my back. It was excruciating to sit up afterwards. My test was fine, no ill effects afterwards.

shoe size
i have worn 8.5WW and 9W whenever I can actually find something to fit the width of my foot. I am now fitting in all of the 8W and 8.5W in my closet that I haven't been able to wear in years. I am hoping to go down to at least a consistent 8 and then I can buy some nice shoes again.
