  1. Thanks everyone. I'm hoping that water will reverse that and quickly. I am having difficulty with reconciling with myself that I'm not supposed to be on a "diet" anymore and I think that its that mentality that has me beating myself up about it. I still have a long way to go apparently to learning how to eat mindfully while still allowing small indulgences so I don't feel like I'm on a diet and deprived anymore.
  2. You copy and paste the html bb code into your signature. I had to try a few before I found the one that actually worked
  3. My sleevie does this too. Noisy tummy, noisy burps!
  4. What it definitely did was show me how addicted to carbs I am. There's cookies in our lunchroom at work today and its taking a feat of superhuman strength to not grab one. I'm eating my cottage cheese under duress
  5. Yup, I experienced exactly the same thing when I moved to mushies, then again when I moved to soft solids and then full solids. It's like its too big for your swollen sleevie and it hurts. Feels just like stuck food. I found a **little** sip of water sometimes helped push it down as well as burping. I would have to belch huge just to get it to move. It sucked. I still have it if I have taken a bit too big of a bite or not chewed it to mush. It's like feeding a baby
  6. Apparently I suck. I'm beating myself up and I know that I made poor choices over the long weekend but I figured it would be ok since my calories are still so low. I had some potato chips and 3 clamato and vodka over the long weekend of camping. I was just celebrating getting into the 100's and now I'm back up to 201. I know didn't drink nearly enough Water and I know that this is temporary weight gain but it still blows. I know its not real fat weight gain because I'm still only eating 500-600 calories a day but it sucks to see the scale give you a great big middle finger when you stray at all. Back to high Protein, low carb which I know works. I will change my ticker back to 201 when I get home to keep myself accountable. I'm bummed at this tiny setback, self-inflicted or not.
  7. Congratulations! It's exciting and scary all at once isn't it!?
  8. I hit ONEderland on Saturday before we left for camping! I might even be lower than that now but as I only weigh in the mornings, I'll know that one tomorrow as we just got home. Wahoo
  9. I told my boss I was going to be out for surgery. She asked if it was necessary and I replied yes. That's it, that's all she knows. It's none of their business.
  10. I'm 3 weeks post op and still battling fatigue. I hear that the energy returns after around a month so I'm hoping to see that. Right now I come home just exhausted from work.
  11. The surgical gas pain was just awful. The Gas-X strips did nothing for me. I just had to walk and move and put a heating pad on as often as possible.
  12. I had no nausea but I did have pain from the drain site as well as the horrible gas pains. It made it really hard to take a breath and I kept trying because I didn't want to end up with pnemonia! I have asthma so my likelihood is worse off if I did get it do I really concentrated on windmilling my arms, walking, using a heating pad, and getting hubby to pound on my back to get rid of the gas as soon as possible. The drain site pain lasted about a week I'd say.
  13. Take it easy pasquini. You just had major surgery. Make sure you don't lift anything over 10 (ish) pounds for at least a month post op or you risk damage inside. I'm glad you're feeling so good!
  14. I had the grape frost. Not excellent but I could stomach it post op.
  15. You can make them into a sweet snack as well by sprinkling some cinnamon and splenda mixed together over them like you would popcorn seasoning. Yum!
  16. I could barely take sips without pain in the first 5 days post op. I used Isopure clear protein drink. It took me a whole day to get one small bottle down
  17. I started eggs on my 3rd week. Soft poached. I can only eat 1/2 and I feel restriction!
  18. Congrats on your new sleeve! The grumblies aren't hunger, my tummy makes a heck of a lot of noise since I got sleeved but I'm not hungry. It's just noisy now. lol apparently that's normal. Think about your "hunger" ... is it head hunger or do you get the cramping that is REAL hunger?
  19. I tried frozen yogurt last week, maybe1/2 cup, and I had the same issue!
  20. Congratulations pasquini on your new sleeve!
  21. Renee -Like pasquini said, it doesn't hurt coming out. Feels really strange and icky but not painful.
  22. yep, Cals, Protein, Fat, Carbs. I don't track water, I just do as much as I can in between "meals" right now I'm focusing on high protein (70g) and lower carbs so it helps me to track it. I use Loseit on my iPhone to track it.
  23. Pre-op I went 3 times a week on average. I haven't been back to the gym yet as I'm only just over 2 weeks out but I'm really jonesing to get back in there. I'm going to try the treadmill this weekend
  24. I'm 16 days post op and feeling great. I've moved on to some soft foods... eggs, fish, canned chicken. Its alot harder to get the protein in when you're not drinking it. It's also alot harder to get water in now because of the whole don't drink for 30 min before or after eating rule. Soft foods definitely feel alot different in the ol sleeve, although I can get 1 egg in and be filled up. It's like FindingMe75 said.... I almost forget that I've had this done until I get full on 1 egg and then I remember! Energy is getting better as well every day as well. I'm going to hit the gym this weekend for the first time in 3 weeks. I'm sticking to the treadmill but I really want to start moving so I walk is better than nothing at all (which is what I'm doing now!)
