Extreme Pigout
I agree, i was impressed when i went to NY a few years ago. I live in England but lived in the USA for the furst 9 years of my life (wasn't overweight as a child) But I told my husband I was glad I didn't live in the States anymore could I would probably be dead from some obesity related disease. Having said that apparently england is folowin the US in obesity, but the portions of food here are 1/4 of the ones i got in NY/NJ!!

Catholic Sleevers Please!
I know this won't help, just had to answer cause I'm a Catholic. I've got my tubes tied after 3 children and 3 C-sections, so it isn't a problem for me. Good luck in what you choose to do!

How is 1200 Calories enough?
BBJ has 4 pounds to go and she eats more than 1200 a day but works out a lot, i asked her and this is what she said: BlackBerryJuice 15 Jan 2011 - 19:10 Hey, Thanks for the compliment! I don't count calories at all, mostly due to the fact that my boyfriend and I eat out a lot, so a lot of the time it's hard to make an accurate estimate of how much I'm eating. I do know that on days I only eat homemade food, I'll fluctuate between 1000 and 1800, I'd say 1200-1400 is where I'm at on most days? I also work out 4-5 times a week, though I'm def going to watch The Black Swan!

NSV shout outs
Went out with my friend today shopping, as we do most saturdays while our girls are at ballet classes, for the first time ever (she pointed this out, not me) I actually went into the changing rooms, tried a few trousers on compared them with hers, just normal things! I used to buy stuff that i thought would fit and them just change/or return them if i didn't like them. I didn't buy anything, I'm in between a size 14 and 12 (12 and 10 US) Priceless!

I still would need surgery,I was offered loads of things if I lost weight, put even more stress on me. BTW you will be risking complications with your health if you DON'T have this surgery! I suppose you're a guy??

Anyone done a pouch test?
I wanted to "detox" after the holidays, So i did 2 days of protein drinks/soups, and the other 3 days protein as per indicated. I had some peanut butter and a piece of bread (tiny piece whole meal) on my 3rd day I think.

Anyone done a pouch test?
I did it for 5 days (i did cheat mind) i didn't lose any weight but it did help me not to crave "bad" carbs anymore. I followed that same website.

WHY ME???
I agree 100% with you Leesey. Whay got me fat was eating huge amounts of whatever I could get my hands on, not a few pieces of toast. I had this surgery to be able to lose weight eating smaller portions, but a varied diet. Varied being the key word here. I dieted all my life, or at least for a good 31 years. Diets made me fat in the first place. There is scientific proof of that. This is not a diet for me, it'a a way of life! BTW I'm not quite there yet Leesey but I'm taking it easy, I exercise quite a lot and hope to be at goal by my 42nd Bday on the 13th March! Good luck to you!

Everyone Says Something Different!
I was told it's because the liquid pushes the food through and you get hungry easier-i don't follow this rule.
