Hi! I've only had my first meeting with my doctor ( Scott Stowers, Las Colinas, TX) I am going for my psych eval on Wednesday. I've heard several people mention they've had to quit smoking and lose weight before the surgery. Noone at my doctors office has said anything about this yet. Does anyone else have this doctor and know what, exactly, HIS requirements are? They told me I should be able to have the proceedure wihin a couple of weeks. Is this not true??? I sure do hope so, and I really hope they are not going to make me quit smoking first. If they do, all I'll do is eat! Please, please help and pass along any info you might have on this matter, especially if it's the same doctor. Thanks everyone, and good luck to you all!

Hi Kayla! My name is Tina, and I live in Bedford, Tx so we're almost next door neighbors. I don't have a date set yet, but they told me mid to end of April. It's kinda comforting to know there's someone really close going through it too. Do you have anyone to exercise with? By exercise I mostly mean walking for now. Maybe we can help each other through this?

Hi, I'm Tina. I'm supposed to be banded at the end of April( no date yet). I'm very excited, and slightly nervous. I'd love to have someone to help me stay on track, and to go through the ups and downs I'm sure are to come. I'm very determined to do this right and make the most of it. I'm sure the necessary change in diet is going to be the hardest part as I love Pasta and pasteries! But, determined I am, so I'd love help doing what's best for me!

Hi, my name is Tina. I'm 50 years old and am just starting the whole proceedure before the surgery. I don't even have a date set yet. I'm wondering how you've handled things so far. Did you have to go through a bunch of stuff before surgery? How much have you lost so far? Are you having many problems post-op? Since you are very new at this, I'd really like your input! Thanks!
