  1. Yes it does but the tummy tuck is a harder surgery but the younger people do it a lot but as long as my insurance is willing to cover this I am happy. I go for an appointment just to talk to my surgeon on the 4th oct to find out anything I have missed about it.
  2. Thank you Leebick for responding.
  3. Well I guess there isn't anyone as old as I am that has had the pannulectomy. My pre-appointment is getting close and I am a little nervous and wonder if I should forget about having it done because of my age.

  5. I was wondering if there were any women who had had the pannulectomy at 60-65 years old and how you did with healing
  6. Good Luck to all of you. I was approved for the surgery and had done my 6 month DR. supervised program for cigna and got scared , When I did finally decide to do it My husband was diagnosed with Cancer and I backed out again because I had to be able to do for him, well he is better and I am seriously thinking about calling my surgeon's office and getting it all lined up again and getting the ball rolling. My 6 month program was good for 2 years and that is up in Jan 2013 so I really need to decide. I am so scared but I know it is what I need. I wish all of you the best of luck and sure hope things go well. Peggy
  7. Thank you for sharing, it really helps to hear the good things about the surgery too. Peggy
  8. Thanks Dave for replying, It helps to hear the positives too. Peggy
  9. Thanks for your reply. I just feel like it helps me to see the positives along the journey as well as negatives. Good Luck.
  10. Thanks for responding, It was good to see that there are ones who haven't had so many problems. It is a little of both I guess, and I know that some think that the band will answer all their problems, but my surgeon has me completely beleiving that along with the band I will still be working hard on my part too and I am ready for that. Thanks again and Good Luck.
  11. Wow, that is great that you haven't had to be filled.
  12. I have read so much on the site and a lot of it is really helpful, but I really get scared when I hear about most everyone having so many problems. I know it isn't a bed of roses and I know we have to really work hard, but all of the negatives scare me. I look to have my surgery around mid- august , but I keep doubting my decision. If you have the band and things have went well, please let me know, I need to read about the good and the bad. Thank you and good luck to all.
  13. Hi Rachel, Congatulations on your progress, I am up to setting the date for my lapband, but I have had 2 therapist appts and still have another, and I was just wondering , did you get scared or have any doubts before your surgery at the last, just before you were banded.
  14.
