  1. Found out yesterday that I will be funding my sleeve with Care Credit!!! I was very excited to get the news from them.
  2. Thank you both for the replies and the well wishes! I've been on a wild researching campaign to figure out where to go from here. It's a lot of fun but scary at the same time. Any advise from anyone in Southeast Michigan.....I'm all ears
  3. I've spent months and months researching various WLS procedures and there have already been some ups & downs! When I finally made the decision to have WLS, I found out that my employer had placed an exclusion on it so I couldn't get it done that way. Realizing I was going to be a self-payer was tough to handle. Once that finally sank in, I started saving and cutting back in order to finance the surgery. I realized quickly that it was going to take me at least two years to save the money so I started pursuing the financing options that I found out about from all of you on this board (thanks to all of you!!!) Well, I found out today that I've got my funding!!!!!! :D Care Credit came through for me and with that plus the money I've saved I'll be able to get my sleeve!!!! Got that news today and was so happy then the reality set in and I started freaking out a little. I can't believe I'm ready to start looking at doctors and moving forward with this process. I can't wait, now I just need to figure out where to go from here! I was so excited I thought I had to share this with somebody. Seeing how I haven't told anyone else about this besides my wonderful wife, I thought I'd share it with all of you!!!
  4. I feel the same way. Glad you asked this question. I've been saving like a mad man every penny I can but I know I will need financing help before I can get my surgery. I've been researching the various options but would love to hear more about what others have done and if they were happy with the financing they ended up going with.
  5. The lowest price I've found here in the Detroit area is 11,500 from a doctor with a good reputation. Would love to find a US doctor for a lowere price but doubt I will. With all the trouble in the news about Mexico, I'm pretty concerned about traveling there for surgery.
