HELLO I RECEIVED A FOWARD TO TODAY FROM A FREIND THAT A STUDY WAS BEING DONE IN GA AREA FOR GASTRIC SLEEVE PLICATION @ REDUCED RATE. MAY BE USEFULL FOR THE SELF PAY PATEINTS LOOKING FOR AFFORDABLE SURGERY IN THE UNITED STATES. We are currently starting to recruit candidates. Due to the collection needed for thr study, we are limiting the geographical area of patients to the Southest tennessee/Northwest Georgia areas. This is not a paid study, the cost of the procedure will be approximately $9,600 plus the cost of surgical testing including labs and x-rays. This amount will be due in full one week prior to surgery. You must meet the NIH criteria for Bariatric surgery having a BMI of 35-40 with two or more co-morbidities or a BMI of 40 or more, history of obesity for 5 years, and unable to acheive long term sucess with conventional diets. Hi yes, i'm scheduled for April 27th, 2011. Not real nervous about the surgery itself, kinda worried about the pain and the first couple weeks after. also wonder if my sleeve will be right size.

Their are some in the states down south, OK, TX, AR that are charging 9k-10k everything all inclusive. You really won't find anything less than that for the sleeve because the hospitals in the states charge the Dr's like 3000.00 or more for the stapler they use to close up the sleeve and RNY surgeries.

Hello has anyone had this MINI Sleeve Gastroplasty procedure done, costs and what dr's are available to do it. It is a variation of the VSG, except they DO NOT REMOVE 80% of the stomach, they re attach it. can someone give me some info, please. also if anyone has any refferences to affordable/ reasonable cash pay dr's here in the united states for VSG would be helpful too. thank you!
