  1. I was so proud of myself today. I got professional pictures taken I HATE getting pictures taken, but I wanted to do this so bad. I am going to make my Christmas cards out of one of these pictures, probably #8. If anyone has a favorite, please let me know. I let my sister take a picture of me the other day which was a huge step for me, and now I did this! YEAH! Maybe I will do it again June 8th.... it will be my 33rd birthday and Izzy's (fawn boxer) 6th birthday! I don't like looking at these pictures because I still have so much to lose, but I can't imagine what I would have looked like 72 pounds higher! I need to be happy about that 72 I have lost so far. Hopefully by next Christmas I will be to my goal weight! http://smilestore.picturepeople.com/PR3/Orderpage.aspx?pi=YH4C07EP000000&po=0&pc=15
  2. Are you taking pain meds? After surgery when I was taking the pain meds I would get super hot too. Not sure why. I hope this passes for you!
  3. Awesome job!!!!!!!! You are rocking the weight loss!!!!
  4. Not sure why it didn't post all of my comment..... Could you be pregnant? Not sure if this is even a possibiliby and I hope I don't sound like an a$$. My friends think its crazy because I always know when someone is pregnant before they tell anyone I am hungry A LOT too!!!! I will eat and be stuffed and then about 30 mins to an hour later I will be hungry again. I am glad I am not alone. I was starting to think I was a FREAK
  5. Im glad that you are not going to take any appetite suppresants. I abused anything with ephedra in it years ago, and its now off the market. I lost mass amounts of weight, but once I was off it, I blew up again. Thats what happens. Once you are off it, everything slows way down. Just remember that if you get the idea of taking something in your head again You mentioned that if you lose 15 more pounds, your BMI will be under the range for your height. So, I was thinking, maybe your body is happy at the weight it is at right now. Sometimes I wonder if everyones body has a set weight it should be at, and maybe you are at that weight. You probably don't want to hear that though. Just a thought
  6. You look GREAT!!!!!!! I can't wait to fit in a size Large! When I was 160 pounds (7yrs ago) I was in a size large and people said I was thin! LOL. But I am 5ft 10inches tall. How tall are you? And if you don't mind me asking, what is your current weight? I guess I am dumb because I can't figure out your tickers, LOL! What have you lost just since your surgery date? Again, you look amazing!!! I hope you feel as great as you look!
  7. Awesome job! You look great!
  8. I usually have turkey sausage for breakfast. I got tired of eggs, and I don't like cottage cheese or oatmeal (things my NUT suggested). I asked her about turkey sausage and she said its fine. Its really filling and I usually eat 3 links or 2 patties. I think its under or around 140 calories, 7 g fat, and 9 g of protein (I think). Maybe try that if its something you like. I also tried turkey bacon and turkey pepparoni, all which are yummy. I put those on a thin tortilla and make pizza...yum! Just a thought. Right now, my snacks are protein shakes. My NUT still wants me on those 2 times a day, and 3-4 meals. I am not working right now and I am worried about going back to work as well. Good luck and congrats on the new job! Keep us posted on how you do.
  9. My first goal for myself was to get under 300. I thought it would take awhile, since my highest pre-op weight was 369. Date of surgery I was 356. Today, I stepped on the scale and LOOK!!!!!!! Surgery was about 8.5 weeks ago :)
  10. I LOVE boxers!!!! I will always only have boxers. They are the best dogs ever!!! Izzy was my first boxer, then I got Gus. They are my babies Awww, you are so lucky to play with boxer puppies!!!! I want another, but these 2 keep me busy enough.
  11. Skyline is right at the end of my street
  12. This might not sound like a big accomplishment, but I am soooooo proud of myself. I went to the grocery tonight (which I hate to do because I just want to buy junk) and I didn't buy ANY junk food!!!!! I wanted to soooo badly. I walked down the ice cream aisle and looked and then started walking faster and told myself NO! I walked thru the candy aisle too, and I wanted a resses cup sooooo bad! I saw a pudding cake, and thought, OH YUM, that will go down so easily!!! I kept walking past that too! I even made it thru the checkout lane too without grabbing a resses or anything else! YEAH FOR ME!!!! I had a slip a few weeks back where I did buy a resses that I ate, and I did eat a cupcake too. I know it goes down easily, and doens't make me sick. I can't resist it, so I have to keep it out of my house. I am so glad I didn't buy it. I was so proud of myself, I just had to share! I also wanted to just drive thru Wendy's or Skyline (chili place) instead of going to the grocery because that is so much easier than buying food and preparing it. That was an old bad habit that I got in to. I didn't do that either!!! I attached a recent picture of me with my doggies from a few days ago. It was in the 50's then, but its snowing today! LOL! I have lost 56 since surgery, 69 total. I was 300.2 this morning. I hope to break the 300's soon!!!! Maybe tomorrow moring or the next day! I also added some before pictures. Don't look at my messy deck, LOL! I think I was at my highest weight in these pictures. I set the timer on my camera. I hated getting my picture taken, and I didn't want anyone to take my pic
  13. i did not have a leak test either. I am in Ohio, USA. I guess they just watch for symptoms?
  14. Good luck with surgery!!!! Let us know how it goes when you can. Yes, it might be a good idea to have some miralax, just in case. The first 4-5 weeks I was fine. The miralax has helped some.
  15. Good luck with surgery!!! I will be sending you some healing healthy vibes tomorrow. I am sure its totally normal to be emotional before surgery. I was feeling all kinds of things and couldn't sleep at all!!! Like everyone else has said, walking is so important! I didn't get out of bed the day of surgery, but the next day I felt SO MUCH better once I did walk around!! Good luck!!! Can't wait to hear how it all went.
  16. I didn't have one in. Pre-op they said he puts drains in, but my surgery went so well he decided I didn't need one. He said there was very little bleeding and thats why I didn't need one. That was the thing I worried most before surgery, LOL. I was so excited when I didn't have one. People kept checking my incisions and I was like "do I have a drain", and they said no. I was too out of it to check, and too afraid to check, lol. I was so happy. I have heard its kind of uncomfy getting it out, but I think it depends on your pain tolerance, and also how long it is in. The longer it is in, I think the skin around it can start healing. I wouldn't worry too much about it because I don't think you will remember it in the long run. The surgery was painful for me, but I barely remember how bad it was. Good luck with surgery!
  17. I have stayed away from popcicles. My NUT said that they only increase hungry and provide no nutritional value. I don't need anything else to make me even more hungry! But this is a good thing to watch out for!
  18. Congrats!!! That is awesome!!!! What was your surgery date? I am 8 weeks out today. Surgery was oct 4th.
  19. I don't have any advice, but I am right there with you! My boobs use to be so full, and now they are deflating And, the scary thing is, I still have so much to lose. I am afraid all I will be left with is skin! ) I will more than likely have plastic surgery when I am done....not for anyone else, but for myself! If you can afford surgery, I say, DO IT, for you!
  20. My surgery was Monday, Oct 4th, 2010, so today I am 8 weeks out! I have lost 54 pounds since surgery!!!!! It might have been more because I am still constipated!!! Other than the constipation, I am doing pretty well. Highest weight: 369 Surgery weight: 356 Current weight: 302 Starting clothing size: 30/32 Current clothing size: 24 ALMOST UNDER 300!!!!!! Hopefully I hit that next week, and then I will NEVER EVER see the 300's again. I have a long road ahead of me, but I think I have had a great start! Now I just need to get my butt out there and exercise!
  21. OUCH!!! I hope it doesn't get to that point! Last time I had a BM it hurt a lot, but I didn't use anything to help it along. Oh gosh, this sucks!!!!
  22. I am the same, I never thought about it before surgery, and I use to drink TONS before. Now I have to make sure I even get 32 oz of fluids in. I try to get more, but its soooo hard. I am sure that is adding to this problem. I had to do a 24 hr urine test a few years ago, and I put out 4.5L of urine in 24 hours!!! So, I was probably taking that much or more in!
  23. I just bought some Miralax and took some today. I hope it helps soon!!!! UGH! I never had this problem either before surgery. At first I thought I was just not going a lot because I am eating A TON less than before surgery, but last Wednesday I had 4 or more BM's in one day, so I know it was all just in there. I haven't gone yet since Wednesday and its driving me crazy!!!
  24. I just started getting hiccups after I ate a few days ago! I was wondering the same thing! I was thinking I ate too fast or too much. Sometimes I hiccup so hard I feel like I will vomit. No fun!
  25. I was thinking gallbladder too. Yes, I still have mine. But I thought gallbladder pain was up into the shoulder. I didn't have any shoulder pain. I guess everyone can be different. It is not hurting now. I hope it doesn't hurt like that ever again! I just bought some benefiber today. It says you can take 3 doses in 1 day, and I have taken 2 so far. I hope things start moving! UGH!
