  1. I totally agree...the first day was a killer, but I have really gotten used to the smaller portions...like u said I just miss certain flavors...i am already dreaming of mushies where I can have some Beans and cheese. Yummy!
  2. My nutritionist recommends Boost Glucose control, Carnation Breakfast essentials, glucerna hi Protein or ensure Hi protein. I went with the Boost GC and honestly I LOVE the flavor. I also ordered samples of the Jay Robb whey protein which are ok...and i have GNC Pro Performance in Cookies and Cream which i am not keen on. the only issue is the boost only has 16g or protein. But it is 190 cal for an 11oz container and low sugar
  3. i did intermittently i did cardio workouts on Fit TV. I intend to join the gym post op for the machines...definitely weights etc
  4. I definitely will be looking into the compression garments, and i think weights are the way to go. Cardio helps u burn fat but isnt great at building muscle. Good luck
  5. Good to know! thanks
  6. What would you say is the leading culprit: 1-not adhering to the diet 2-Inexperience/negligence/skill level of the doctor 3-the overall health of the patient 4-just plain old chance, luck of the draw (or lack there of)
  7. I too have become addicted...especially the closer I get to my date. It is a wealth of info and definitely a great support system! Good luck on your journey
  8. Which gives the most authentic and best Peanut Butter flavor? PB2 or Torani PB???
  9. Thats totally too cute! Congrats!
  10. Wow congrats! glad to hear that you're doing well.
  11. i have heard approx 5-7 lbs a week, of course there are different factors that can affect that. i think it's definitely possible
  12. i believe i am on clears until day3...i guess that's time to adjust.....i guess i wont know until i do it huh
  13. I am concerned as anyone is about leaks etc....so those initial days to weeks after surgery, would u say ur body tells u ok , no more liquids? i dont wanna force my liquids in and possibly cause damage

Are you using high speed internet, and do you have a pop up blocker enabled??? because I have no such problem at home or work? Try running a scan on your computer
  15. My bff said stick to good old olive oil because a friend of ours used that during pregnancy....we'll see lol
  16. I just left my pre-op appt...everything is on! First thing Monday morning I am the first case. Gotta be here at 530am
  17. awwww i have always been anemic but I have been taking Vitamins and Iron pills since like November. I hope I dont have the same issue.
  18. Ditto!! I believe Jhud...also it would be extremely unscrupulous and maybe illegal to endorse WW if that wasn't her primary source of weight loss. As far as Aretha, being an AA woman, I can kinda understand, because our ppl can be so negative and judgemental. But she is a celeb. I think ppl would understand her doing it. Esp because she was so overweight. Whatever it is, kudos to her. She looks way better and is 100 times healthier i am sure. Another potential suspect is Raven symone
  19. i am a PB ADDICT...so much so that i refuse to buy it. I definitely wanna try that PB2.
  20. i too wondered the same thing....i have lost about 37 lbs pre-op...even today my co-worker was like u look great....u should stay this size...i was like are u kidding me...i am still over 300lbs I want to be a healthy normal weight. I have NEVER not been overweight. I was already 200lbs in JHS. So i am looking forward to being normal, and healthier than I already am.
  21. it seems like you haven't re-gained your 40 lbs that you lost. That sounds great! maybe take it back to basics. I have heard of people doing a 5 day pouch test to regain restriction, and then maybe just follow the plan as though u were a newbie. Good Luck!
  22. i feel/felt the same way. I too am being sleeved on 4/11. It's normal. This is one of the MOST important decisions you will make in your life, akin to getting married or having a baby. So it is normal to approach it with some trepidation. But as I have said on here before, NO ONE i know regrets doing it, and that is key. Good luck!
