Getting liquids and proteins in??? Initially

I am concerned as anyone is about leaks etc....so those initial days to weeks after surgery, would u say ur body tells u ok , no more liquids?

i dont wanna force my liquids in and possibly cause damage

I would recommend you just sip your fluids over a period of time. Your body will give you a pain feeling if you over do it. The first week out I would recommend you spend more time on getting in your fluids to keep dehydration away and not worry about the proteins until you can get in your fluids no problem. First 4 days I only concentrated on fluids after that my swelling went down fast so I was able to get my proteins in (in liquid form).

i believe i am on clears until day3...i guess that's time to adjust.....i guess i wont know until i do it huh laugh.gif

I was sleeved on 3/17 and I am not having any problems with liquids. I can't drink as much as I could before, but I think your body will let you knw when you have over done it.
