  1. You- know my mom told me the same thing- oh- and might I add that when I was also talking to her about after losing all the weight I might have a tummy tuck and boob job- she said "What about your butt- you might need more work there!" Thanks mom. Anyways- I have a fella at work that had the DLS surgery- and yes for a while he didn't look that great- getting used to eating different- his hair falling out-, his skin really loose- but now he is bouncing back and how good he feels now just radiates off of him. So I can see what your friend and my mom mean- but sometimes its just hard to take when you are wanting this to better your life and become healthier.
  2. OMGoodness! WOW! What a difference you have made in your life- what size were you before? Great Job!!!
  3. thats so funny- I was just thinking- where is she? She should have posted by now!!
  4. Well poo- I will need to talk to my doc- he puts one in and I stay two nights in the hospital and don't go in to get the drain out for a whole week!!
  5. lol - the whole six pack- like they are these big things- you cracked me up with that- but maybe I am just tired- lol
  6. Thanks- How are you doing? I see you are only a few days out-
  7. I know its silly -but at size 22 I have a pair of jeans that I love- and fit perfectly my shape- so I went back and bought a 18, 14, and a 10- 10 is my goal size- hopefully they will fit like a glove at each stage of loss.
  8. Ok - I am scheduled for surgery May 2nd -I have my EGD tomorrow- so - I sat down with my DH and talked to him about this whole process- (not that I havn't been talking non-stop about it the last 3 months) but I think he finally understood what I was doing last night and now tells me that he does not want me to do it- but that if "I" choose to do it anyway- he will support me- which I am grateful for but I am just at a lost for words- this whole time he has just kept saying yeah I think you should- but now- why now- he thinks I will be sick for a long time- I have had a surgery every year for the last five years and just now feeling up to par after the last one- I think may be why he is questioning it- but thought I would get on here and ask you what you all think- what should I tell him- he is just worried- but so am I- just questioning a lot right now...
  9. Yes 4 more days!! Hang in there- I can have 2 protein shakes- unlimited Jello and broth and then one lean cuisine or smart ones for dinner and thats it-

Yea- I would definately call your dr- obgyn- I have had a hyster. also - but this surgery should not effect down there- but I did notice that when i had another surgey- later to take out a tumor- I was definately more dry down there- might be due to all the meds and such- idk- just saying- maybe that is the cause (sorry just saw where you put you see the doc on Monday- )
  11. I know it is not what you want to hear- but when I had my son- he was so little and skinny- his little baby butt was just like that too- but I thought it was cute lol
  12. Thanks! Just the pep talk that I needed - getting ready to be sleeved on May 2nd
  13. wow- really thought you were in your 20s too! I am 31- hope to have the same experience with my skin - I get sleeved may 2nd- and I am soo ready - weigh 245 now- at 5'6" large frame- well thats what i am told lol So hopefully - You are an inspiration!
  14. Wow- you look great! I hope I am as happy and as successful as you! How is the skin issue?
  15. Good Luck in the morning- cant wait to hear back from you!
  16. Yep I don't know of any deaths- of mine- and he has done 5 of the sleeve surgeries- an blood clots are out of the control of the doctor- and like you said before if that one patient had several things already going wrong in their body- sometimes its to much- I would say if ya have prayed about it and feel comfortable in his knowledge and good about everything- then you should stay with him-
  17. Congrats to you all! Stay strong and focused! Here's to Monday and the start of new way of living! !
  18. Congrats! I will be following you on May 2nd!
  19. Hi, At the time of my first consult back in Feb. he said he had done only 5 sleeves - but has extensive work with the lap-band- He said that from a surgery stand point the Sleeve was a lot easier to do - and he has another dr in there that has done more- but I didn't ask about their numbers- he didn't say he had any problems with them - just that the surgery was easier to perform than the band and he has done that for several years- over 1000 or more- Also - he said a lot of surgeons in the US have waited to do this procedure because they wanted to see more results over long term and make sure it was a good surgery for their patients.
  20. Go to a few different seminars- there are several out there- to get a good feel for where is best for you.
  21. Yep- been on all of it- if you overdo the stool softeners- it can have the same effect as laxative- the miralax you just sprinkle on your food and you never know you have taken it- it is gentle and is healthier for your body long term- at least that is what drs tell me.
  22. NON scale VICTORY
  23. WELL- unless you get what drug did Micheal Jackson take ? propinal- if they give you that when they put you out- you will wake up alert- like you had a really good nights rest- but usually they don't use that lol-
  24. I asked just today- they said 32 mostly but in some cases they use a 34-
  25. Hey- I am having mine at the same place- they say they use a 32- 34- depending on the person and surgery- Mystee can't wait to see how urs goes monday- I go on the 18th to get my EGB done and then surgery on the 2nd of May!
