8 Days Post Op... Feeling Overwhelmed.
twoboysandagirl replied to Bonnie Baillargeon Pollard's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery StoryI think it is great that you can listen to your body like that...I think you should keep questioning and staying in tune...but maybe (prayerfully) it is just your body saying what did you do with the other 7/8 of my stomach??? Keep us posted!

Caffeine
I was directed to give up all caffine and never turn back. I used to drink coffee and ice tea regularly. I still drink coffee and icetea just switched to decaf. I have accidently had caffiniated coffee and it burned my sleeve. I try to avoid if at all possible.

Vitamin Help!
Yep! My nut told me 2 Flinstones complete (purple bottle) a day. I can get them at sams for a great price. You can get them at Walmart, Target, Grocery store...just about every where. I also take 1 B100, a day 3 calcuim chews, and a B12 once a week. Levels have been perfect each time. By the way, to be completely honest, My flinstone is the worst part about my sleeve and I can live with that!!! What ever you settle with I am sure you will find one that your tum likes and then you will be fine. Good Luck to you.

Stupid Question ......
I had that same question ...bougie /bou·gie/ (boo-zhe´) a slender, flexible, hollow or solid, cylindrical instrument for introduction into the urethra or other tubular organ, usually for calibrating... from a medicaldictionary online

Not Ready For Work Monday
It is hard to know what you feel like on Monday. And everyone's experience with post-op pain is so different. I stopped taking pain meds on day 4 and just used liquid tylenol when I felt I need it. How flexible is your job? Do they have to hire someone to do you job while your out? So if you feel up to it you can go in and they wont be sending home a temp?

How Many Calories Should I Be Eating?
I stayed between 400-600 calories a day the entire time I was losing. But you should check with your NUT because everyone has a different plan.

Question For Sleevers
17months out today. For dinner I had a thin lean hamburger pattie a piece of provolone cheese on those thin buns. I ate 3/4 of it and I had three spoon fulls of peas and carrots. My favorite lunch in 3 turkey meatballs with 1/2 cups of tomato sauce My favorite Breakfast is a Protein shake I can eat 2 small hard tacos if they are not ovefilled with lettuce and meat and chees...just regular I can eat 1/2 a chicken breast if I eat slowly and some veggies I can only eat 1 egg and 1 piece of toast or maybe 2 pieces of turkey bacon instead of the toast.

Am I Going Crazy? My Personality Changed.
Yes...it is hormones. I am sure you have read this when you burn fat the fat releases hormones it has been storing like crazy and it make us a bit moody (or really moody) when you weight loss slows down and your body gets into a grove it stops. You will return to a "normal" you. Actually i think I am a bit more laid back now. But maybe you should ask my DH:)

Balboa Naval Medical Cntr- San Diego
I had surgery at Balboa Navy Medical Center San Diego. My surgeons name was Gallus but he is currently deployed. Please feel free to look through all my old posts and ask any questions. I feel like I recieved exceptional care from almost everyone (save one nurse practtioner) and honestly since being on these boards for quite a while now I feel like it is an exceptional program.
